  1. Banned or Locked...which will come first via this asinine thread?
  2. Anyone notice Dye almost didn't run home as well? Jesus guys...RUN!
  3. Great site... Here is a direct link: http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/cws/fan_fo...ookie_watch.jsp
  4. If the runner crosses home plate before the runner at second is called out, then yes the run does count. We just saw a version of this over the weekend when, I believe, Carlos was called out at third after a hit by AJ. Thome was at second but did not cross the plate before Carlos was tagged. So the run did not count.
  5. Shouldn't this be in the "drunk" thread?
  6. QUOTE (Nixon @ Aug 21, 2009 -> 02:31 PM) Did he have any close ups of feet in those scenes? Yes he does!!
  7. I always hope, but it will never happen, that the posters who say the Season is OVER and this team is DEAD put their "money where their mouths" are... Stop posting. Stay away from the White Sox since there is no reason to watch them or talk about them until the off-season. The rest of us will engage in non-hyperbolic discussions about an underachieving team in a very winnable division. Knowing full well that once playoffs are reached anything could happen. Thank you and I hope to see you back in in time for the Winter Meetings. Until then have a great Aug/Sept away from the White Sox.
  8. Trailer for Michael Moore's new film "Capitalism: A Love Story"
  9. Let me try...I can't think of what to say that starts with "L"
  10. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 04:21 PM) For someone unfamiliar with the comic book women, I thought Watchmen was a great movie. I'm sure many would disagree, but from my perspective it's just below Dark Knight in the superhero genre. fixed for you...
  11. Since Lovie took over the Bears were 6-2 against Favre and the pack... And he's not as good anymore...
  12. I could see going after Chone Figgins to play LF/leadoff and move Q to RF. Keep the same infield.
  13. There seems to be a general feeling like 2003/2004, where the talent is there but there is a lack of motivation or hunger.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 09:12 AM) Obviously I wanted to see District 9 this weekend, and will do so with some buddies this week. That being said, I owed one to my wife and saw "The Time Traveler's Wife". It was a f***ing good movie. I held back the tears, too. Call me what you will, though, that movie was great. jk...i saw it too...
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 08:25 PM) District 9 was fantastic. District 9 brought it, served it and then kicked my ass as I was having dessert! Fantastic film.
  16. Whew...ugly at times, but a win!!! ALEXEI is SEXI!!!
  17. Universal Pictures has set Bryan Singer to direct and produce a feature version of "Battlestar Galactica" NOT based on the recent, critically acclaimed Sci-Fi Channel series...but a new imagining. This makes ZERO sense...other than to capatalize on the Star Trek movie http://weblogs.variety.com/bfdealmemo/2009...k-to-scifi.html
  18. QUOTE (The Bones @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 01:23 AM) I recently saw (500) Days of Summer and Moon. Two of my favorite movies of the year so far. Moon was wonderful!!!
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 13, 2009 -> 08:22 PM) Reds/Cubs game where Cubs fans got the bright idea of throwing all the souvenier baseballs onto the field at the same time in disgust after a Reds HR. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ky9Kso9q_Ws I love the die-hard Cub fans response to that also...
  20. That was my third year as a Season Ticket holder. Julio Franco was a RBI Machine!!!
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 13, 2009 -> 07:15 AM) Seeing how Minnesota and Detroit are equally as bad right now, and the Sox are only 2 games back, I think this kind of talk is silly. Welcome to Soxtalk.
