  1. Do we have centerfield bleachers?? The Baron is drunk, again.
  2. QUOTE(JohnCangelosi @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 08:16 PM) Does anyone else get the impression you're watching a minor league game tonight? It seems like both teams have packed it in for the year... No...not at all. In fact, I don't understand the reference. Do Minor Leaguers "pack it in"??
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 07:58 PM) Ahh I thought he got enough of that one off the bat. Darn. Just a little under it. Damn!
  4. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 06:29 PM) My $0.02 on the Dark Knight Detective. . . Frank Miller's retooling was phenomenal, of course, but I don't think it's accurate to say he made batman darker than Bob Kane's original incarnation. In the earliest comics Batman gad a friggin' Gatlin gun on his Batplane for cripes-sake. He started out pretty darn dark. I think people who say they only liked the first Burton film in the original movie series are not giving Batman Returns a fair shake. Yeah, Nicholson's Joker and the Prince soundtrack are hard to top, But I think in a lot of ways Batman Returns was stronger than the first one, sort of how Bride of was better than James Whale's first Frankenstein Universal film. Then again, I'm a big fan of the quirky side of Burton and not everybody is. I will agree. Batman Returns was a stronger movie than the first one.
  5. Cris Angel is dating Cameron Diaz and made her career disappear.
  6. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 06:53 PM) Yankees will show how to score and JG will help out! Looks like the White Sox showed the Yankees how to score in that inning.
  7. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 06:47 PM) DAMN THE EMERGENCY alert! I lost the broadcast as the ball was in the air going to the gap Three run homer by AJ!!!
  8. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 06:43 PM) Nice! ESPN Calls out Dye for being too "pull conscious" Well...he popped out to right field. LOL
  9. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 04:45 PM) Wikipedia says the last episode is 61 minutes long. I like that it's actually longer than most other episodes. Yes but 40 minutes of that is a retrospective hosted by Bob Costas.
  10. QUOTE(HeGone33 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 11:01 AM) Getting into an argument with a co-worker here so I figured I would see what some of the experts here think. I know both are pretty fast but is it really clear who is faster? Did they ever date the same girl? She could probably tell us... Oh wait you meant... sorry
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 11:54 AM) For the love of God, pull the panties out of the crack of your butt. There can't be someone babysitting for requests 24-7. It'll get done, when it gets done. Is it open yet?
  12. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 10:11 AM) I thought the Val Kilmer "Batman Forever" was good simply because Jim Carrey embodied the insane ideals of the Riddler so well. Was it that embodiement of that sequin suit he wore during the final minutes of the film that you thought was good? jk
  13. QUOTE(IowaSoxFan @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 02:09 PM) So can we just hire away Minnesota's minor league scouting department then? Can we all remember that after the Twins won the World Series in 1991 they sucked for over a decade? They won 90 games in 1992, but after 1992, the Twins again fell into an extended slump, posting a losing record each year for the next eight years: 71-91 in 1993, 50-63 in 1994, 56-68 in 1995, 78-84 in 1996, 68-94 in 1997, 70-92 in 1998, 63-97 in 1999 and 69-93 in 2000. Also, BTW, when you suck you get better draft picks. We stayed competitive in the 90s
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 02:45 PM) That's easy...the Cubs. We have three teams in our division to compete with better than any team in their division. If they win 85 games this year, there's a great chance they make the playoffs. We'd have to win at least 90 games, if not more. That Cub division really does blow. It reminds me of ours in the mid to late 90s. Thats why Cleveland ran off so many division titles, the rest of us were so bad. Check it out, except for a couple years, their records weren't that hot.
  15. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 02:49 PM) I still love the moment when he put the gun to Gloria and told her it was time to leave Tony alone. Good stuff. Or when he pissed in Tony's pool. How many other shows gave their lower-teir characters such great moments? Ah...good times. I'll miss this show.
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 02:37 PM) I could save you some time too! Turn in your White Sox fan card, and you don't have to waste anymore time at all on this team! Quick, easy, AND painless! I'll get my previous season ticket holder seats back! I think this is a great plan.
  17. QUOTE(BearSox @ Jun 2, 2007 -> 11:12 AM) It's their bar, they could do whatever they want, as long as it is legal, of course. Ah the facism of total demorcracy. Lovely.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 02:38 PM) Due to his son's profession, I don't think Patsi has much conversation with him. True...I don't think it was a literal conversation he had with him about it. But he may slyly pushed him towards her. Still...Where was Patsi?
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 02:37 PM) I could save you some time too! Turn in your White Sox fan card, and you don't have to waste anymore time at all on this team! Quick, easy, AND painless!
  20. QUOTE(WHITESOXRANDY @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 02:08 PM) Intersting note that there are 2 guys tied for the M.L. lead in RBI's at 52 - Ordonez and Lee. I'm not saying....I'm just saying. They lead MLB in RBIs but the rest of the Sox team lead them in World Series Championships.
  21. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 01:21 PM) Just grasping for anything here, if Paulie really is working with the NY family, he may have lied to Tony about Silvio's imminent death. We keep forgetting Patsi Parisi was nowhere to be found after Silvio's shooting. Could he be working both sides and even setting his son up with Meadow to get more inside info on Tony?
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 07:33 AM) The Bartman incident. That might the "Greatest" TV moment in history...next to the Moon landing.
  23. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 02:53 AM) Why did Silvio have to go? Why?! Phil wanted to decapitate Tony's family. He had to take out the top three guys. Sil was number two. I wonder if Tony can reach out to the other NY families who didn't sign off on taking out the whole NJ family?
