Marte was robbed of a couple of obvious strikes there but still, you gotta put the right guy in the right situation. Marte has NO BUSINESS in this ballgame. You have a chance to end this game with Cotts/Politte/Herme/Jenks, you f***ing do it. This umpire f***ing blows. Even in the Sox half of this inning the BOS pitcher threw two right on the outside corner to Uribe and neither were called strikes.

1. Joey and Ozzie need to coach differently being this is playoff ball. Oz needs to conserve pitchers and put the best man in the best position to succeed. Count needs to stay in the rhythm he's found on the mound. If he can spot his fastball like he's been doing, his splitter and offspeed pitches become unhittable. He'll be the guy setting the tone for this entire series. Fortunately for us, his confidence couldn't be any higher right now. 3. Our hitters cannot start swinging for the fences if we end up facing a 4 or 5 run deficit in a game. BOS pitching is horrible, take the hits, pile them together, and we can beat them without a single HR in this series. 4. NO WALKS UNLESS IT'S MANNY OR ORTIZ. This offense is too good to give them free baserunners.

If you really think that Ozzie is a good in-game manager then what's the point of discussing this further. His poor decisions have been rehashed 56 times over on the board, no reason to go through them again.

Let's just assume that in their 6 remaining games Cleveland goes 4-2, which is actually below the winning% they've been playing at in the 2nd half. That would put them at 96 wins on the season. The only way the Sox could not have "choked" away their 15 game lead would have been to finish the season with 111 wins, only 5 wins short of the best mark ever set in baseball. Even a 10 game lead would have been a 106 win season.
