  1. Of course Mariotti is going to rip North, because North always b****es about Mariotti's column. Mariotti is a great write, but it's not hard to tell why people dislike him. North is a blow hard, but has many, many fans of his show. I was pissed about the April Fools thing too, but radio stations have been doing it for years. I would imagine the Score got good ratings for the rest of the day.
  2. He may have told Bill he wasn't going to make it, but it was not news Paxson wanted to hear. He was brought here to be a visible influence to the younger players both on and off the court and the first injury he had, he skipped the game to do something else. I believe he may have been at the Cubs game, if I remember correctly.
  3. El Caballo, If you can't post to the correct person then maybe you should think about taking a class on it. I never said a word about Duhon, although he has been fortunate to play with the best supporting cast year in and year out. Has he ever been the best player on any Duke team he's been on? Do we need to list the great college players Duke has had that have had basically useless pro careers? Winning in college does not equate to being a great pro and you know that, but are too stupid to admit it. I can run circles around you in both knowledge of the game and on the court.
  4. I agree with the injury part and the weight room, but how do you help players become professionals if you are not there to be a visible influence. The games he missed were early in the season. He just got injured and was sitting that game out, but rather than attend the game at the UC, he just didn't show up. I remember Paxson being miffed about it, because he had no idea Pip wasn't going to be there. He also missed the next couple of road games too. As far as calling people out, that's fine, but anyone can just call someone out. Hell Antonio Davis called the kids out too. Pippen was signed to show these kids how to be professional and show them what a strong work ethic is and personally I haven't seen it from day 1.
  5. Do you play ball there. I saw them leaving the field yesterday as the rain started to fall. I'm assuming it was rained out. Also is Steve Kenyon still the wrestling coach? what about Darrin Thompson?
  6. Harris, do you still go to Central? Also she won because she was a woman. I'm sure their were some people in that competition that could do some things she couldn't. For the most part she only does the Robert Parish one handed slam. I've seen here play a number of times and she is the real deal for a woman. She can handle the ball like a man. It's obvious her father and brothers have taught her quite a bit.
  7. My guess is a lot of people care, considering it gets better ratings than the Pro's.
  8. Playa hatin. How has Scottie helped? I haven't followed the Bulls real close over the past few months, but I remember earlier in the year when he was first injured, he didn't even show up for a home game. What kind of message does that send to the young guys. i thought the "one" thing Scottie could bring here would be to show the young guys what it takes to train during the season, but apparently he hasn't done that since Skiles and Paxson came out and said that "they expect the players to START taking advantage of the training room at the Berto Center.
  9. Hey classy response, did you think of that all on your own? or did you have some help from someone like George Carlin or Richard Pryor. I'd be suprised if you could show us where Duke University is located on the map and based on your response, I'm positive you're not educated enough to be the custodian at Cameron Indoor.
  10. I normally post at Chisox.com. Thanks for the headsup about BMR. Regarding the Bulls winning the lottery, who cares, unless they trade the pick. The logical choice is Okafor and he has back problems just like Chandler.
  11. No grudge, I just thought about it and decided to look it up. It's no different than making a season long bet and then settling up on it at the end of the season.
  12. Thank you for the link. Hey BMR, how does the Pippen signing look to you now. Even with the injury, do you think Pippen helped anyone grow by not being around?
  13. Hey at least if Duke doesn't win, it will be just in time to dust off either your Red Wings, Lakers or Yankees hat. Once again your bandwagon is doubleparked.
  14. Before the season started I posted about how the Bulls were making a huge mistake in signing Pippen because of the way he treated the Bulls after leaving Chicago. Someone on these boards vehemently argued with me stating how he was still a great player, had apologized to the Bulls for the past and would guide the young Bulls to the playoffs and possibly beyond. I've tried digging up the old post, but have had no luck. I'm just wondering, how do you feel about that signing now and do you think he has helped the young Bulls mature?
  15. Marino was a great QB, but as much as you say he had no running game, he also had a great offensive line to keep the defense away from him. I would put Elway ahead of him for sure and possibly Montana. You must remember for years Elway had no running game and a bunch of no name receivers and led his team to the Superbowl 3, maybe 4, times before t. Davis arrived. His knack for leading his teams from behind was unmatched and his two Superbowl victories put him over the top.
  16. Did the owner of the company say. Here's the contract you desire, it's not a very good deal for you. If you wait a few years you can make a lot more money. You then sign the deal and b**** about it later. then you, my friend, are just as bad. Honor your deal, you put your John Hancock on it. I have no agenda, other than I don't want Pippen, his attitude, his history of being a jerk off around these kids. Your being as bad as the people who blindly root for Sammy not matter what he does. I sure hope I don't see any posts on here ripping Sammy, cause Pip is just as bad.
  17. 6 championships were great, but I'm not going to sit here and say I'm a Pippen fan, I'm not. My whole argument was don't bring him back. You acted like I was unwarranted for my dislike and actually started saying I had an agenda, was unknowledgable, lacked creditbility. I will always be a Bull fan, they are the whole. I do not have to like the all the parts. Pippen was first class jerk and just about anyone that has ever run into him will account for that. I guess we will have to agree to disagree, you have finally seen the light anyways. It just took you 10 years.
  18. Let's see: I acted selfishly and sat on the bench when a call wasn't designed for me. By the way the play that was drawn up won us a game without me. I apologize for ragging about my contract for years, when in reality, MR. Reinsdorf, my agent and others told me it was bad deal, however I wanted security and took the money and the long term contract. By NBA rules and salary cap restrictions I was the Bulls could not renegotiate the deal. The did however sign me to a very lucrative deal upon my becoming a free agent and then traded me to a contender. I should have taken a page from Michael's book and just said when my time comes I will get paid These are just a few instances.
  19. You can respect him all you want, he was a great player and you can have a opinion, however you ripped the hell out me, because of my opinion. As far as Pip is concerned, I just didn't want him back. I wouldn't hold a grudge against the guy if he ever, just once, stepped up and said hey I made a mistake I probably shouldn't have done that, I was young, immature, hurt anything. He never did that. And if the you really loved the Bulls, you would realize that Pip and Jordan played a big role in us not getting any free agents, because they bad mouthed us. Hey I grew up a Met fan(because of my hatred for the CUB), but that doesn't mean I want Strawberry, Gooden, Hernandez and Kevin Mitchell to coach my little league team.
  20. If you go back and read my posts, I never said he wasn't a great player as a Bull. He was a major factor on a "team" that won 6 championships. When Pippen left the Bulls, we did him a huge favor by signing him to a long-term big money contract and then trading him so that the team he went to would have to pay him that money. That was his reward for the championships. Since then and before then he was still a prick. Just because he starred on those teams doesn't mean we needed to bring him back to play with young kids. Face it you are just now seeing the Pippen that many of us saw before.
  21. Just so you know, Pippen was always a prick, it didn't start this week.
  22. Damn, you ripped me apart, called me unknowledgable and told me to get over my agenda and now you are saying f*** Pippen. Good for you.
  23. All three good options. I like to refer to it as: the Hitler or Home Plate
  24. Mr. BMR Based on the fact that Pippen hasn't signed with the Bulls yet and the reports that he has been "playing the Bull" to gain leverage elsewhere I am wondering if you still think we should bring him back. Again, I have no problem with Pippen's skills (although diminished), my problem is he is a jerk, a "me" first person and has badmouthed our organization since '98. Is this someone we want around young players?
  25. You basically argued a point against yourself. The guy is 38 and can't play an entire season. And as I've stated before his play isn't my problem. The fact that he is a hypocrite is my problem, and now he wants to be in the front office, it gets funnier by the minute.
