  1. If they sign Semien, I promise to never bring up Madrigal ever again. You hear my @rickhahn?
  2. Is hereby dubbed Word of the Day. ag·glom·er·ate verb /əˈɡläməˌrāt/ collect or form into a mass or group.
  3. We should also resign Leury and then trade him right away for Trout and Otani. Trout to catch… Otani to be our director of analytics. Frees up Grandal to join the starting rotation too. #Brilliant
  4. You’re preaching to the choir as far as you should be concerned with me… though, I guess that’s what the off-season is for at this point: Saying the same things to each other over and over again.
  5. Yea - my question wasn’t to that portion of your statement… rather I was focusing on your question of if he will be a success in our rotation.
  6. I’d say 100 - 120 is a reasonable range to target… they’ll need rotation depth for sure but there’s no indication that he won’t succeed.
  7. What indication is there that Kopech won’t be a successful starter?
  8. They’re going to have Frank Thomas come out of retirement, hit left handed, and be the second baseman. Book it.
  9. I finally got a solution…. Let’s play Avi at first base, move Abreu to centerfield, and have Robert join the bullpen!!!
  10. Maybe Avi can play shortstop, earn a gold glove there, and Anderson can man right field!
  11. Who is this Twitter man of information? Thou hast not heard of such a fellow but I would not object to Kemp + Conforto + SP + Bullpen arms… ?
  12. I miss baseball already. How sad is that?
  13. Can he be a starting pitcher who throws 160+ innings of 120 ERA+ ball?
  14. I expect them to suspend him for the entirety of 2022, for the Dodgers to attempt voiding his contract, and for him to never pitch for a MLB team again. That’s the only outcome which is right… but then again… the only outcome which was right in 2019 was for the Blastros to has their “championship” be officially revoked.
  15. I thought I recall the Brewers offering him a very similar contract that was just a couple million below what we ended up closing him on.
  16. I don’t know much about him other than what you stated and a general glance at his stat line… don’t you think it would be better to find a more established player for a shorter term so that our internal options can take over in another couple years?
  17. MLB proposes determining arbitration salaries by using the WAR statistic… -Rosenthal
  18. If you offer me $500k for my house - my realtor isn’t accepting anything less. You set the market.
  19. I expected them to offer and Rodon to reject it as well… since it unfolded the way it has I’ve been trying to find rationalizations. These are the most likely I think: 1.) They didn’t want him to accept 2.) They could be concerned about his health 3.) They wanted to do Rodon a solid by allowing him to enter free agency without an attached compensation pick 4.) They want to sign a starting pitcher for more than a year 5.) They wanted to scratch the back of Boars
  20. Yea I agree on all fronts. Only possibility for extending the friendship bridge to Boras would be simple things like him prioritizing meetings for them with his free agents… or maybe he would sing the Sox praise if the offers were nearly the same… like we saw a couple years back with Wheeler.
  21. I thought they were already talking… Bruuuuuuce.
