  1. I had us pegged for him last year.
  2. Maybe - just maaaaaybe… he’ll have a chance and succeed in showing himself as a no longer castrated puppy.
  3. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
  4. Perhaps the 2023 Tadahido! ?
  5. We’ve been scouting him as recently as this past July… that’s all I know.
  6. Thing that make ya go, “duh”…
  7. Yea I’m skeptical until we… 1.) Field a competent lineup 2.) See a competent approach on both sides of the ball 3.) Win
  8. Pretty sure I’ve ascertained that the new coaches plan to have just that - an individualized approach. Not a direct quote but just overall what I’ve heard and read of them… this is the way.
  9. Things that make ya go, “huh”?
  10. Same dude who is accredited with getting more power out of Solar and Salvy, right?
  11. Okey dokie - moving right along then.
  12. As a long time Vaughn supporter… I’d rather resign Jose and trade Vaughn for a young left fielder or starting pitcher.
  13. Won’t be surprised by Benitendi one bit since they’ve been on that dudes jock since the draft. Add that with Grifol and I’d say it’s as likely as my spelling is bad.
  14. Maybe along with some roster changes there’s a chance. I like the prospect of the new hitting coach being someone who’s brought about max power from a couple of swings.
  15. I like this from Fegan in his recent Atlantic article… While Grifol is a first-time major-league manager, he is described by friends and colleagues as a baseball lifer who has served in almost every conceivable role during his tenures with the Mariners and Royals — scout, farm director, minor-league manager, roving minor-league instructor, quality control coach, bench coach, catching coach and hitting coach. Hahn said the new manager will play a central role in determining their coaching staff, and those close to Grifol expect him to bring along previous associates. A potential name to watch is Royals special assignment hitting coach Mike Tosar, since he worked closely with Grifol during breakout power-hitting seasons for Jorge Soler and Salvador Perez.
