Chris Getz can play. He's exactly the kind of player Ozzie wants in our lineup and he'll be in that lineup for a long time.

I'm having trouble understanding why people are putting Quentin in the 3-hole in potential lineups. He has yet to prove that he should be in that spot now, or Opening Day 2010. His numbers on the year are less than inspirational.

 

Quentin has been crushing everything he has hit the past week. It is only a matter of time before he goes on a tear hitting somewhere around .400 the next couple of weeks IMHO.

Ya, it's highly unlikely, but that'd be such an infusion of speed and OBP in our lineup, it'd be fantasmic.

 

I'd much rather explore cheaper alternatives with what we already have on deck in Jor Danks and perhaps Jared Mitchell.

Sox hitters need to be patient at the plate as they were yesterday and hit with RISP which has been the difference b/w the 2 teams in the series so far.

 

Getting a 4 game sweep against the Yanks would be quite the accomplishment.

 

Different ballgame today. Yesterday's ump squeezed both starting pitchers a bit...which really favored the WSox with AJ's lack of command over his fastball.

 

If CC is predictable with his first pitch for whatever reason...the WSox need to jump on him.

I hope that some of you are right about Crawford, but I just don't see it happening. The Rays would want a massive package in return and, after Richard and Poreda were dealt, I just don't see Kenny tapping the farm system again. The Rays might not be willing to deal him anyway.

 

I agree Crawford would pretty much clean out our farm system. I'd have to believe the Rays would ask for Danks or Mitchell, Flowers and another top tier prospect....we just can't afford to do something like that IMHO.

I hope this is just Ozzie being Ozzie. It seems like a shame to me to waste Gordon's ability at third when he could be one of the top 3-4 offensive 2b in baseball (if not better).

 

What else do we have at 3rd in the organization? Do we dare name Viciedo has our future 3B? I don't see him staying over there as he moves across the infield.

 

I actually believe Beckham will be our guy at 3rd for a long time.

I can't see them ever letting him go. He is THE Minnesota Twins. Hometown kid, developed by the organization. I can't imagine he is going anywhere unless he just gets insanely greedy and they can't pay him. But if there is anyone the Twins will overpay to keep, it is Mauer.

He did have some pretty good cuts at the dish. He smoked one for his 2nd out. I think he'll collect a few hits over there in the NL.

 

His athleticism is obvious.

Ozzie has already been quoted as saying Beckham will be our 3B for a very long time. Lex will stay at SS with Getz at 2B.

 

I wouldn't be shocked to see Jordan Danks (Danks 2) take down CF in ST next year.

 

Viciedo is a LONG way away...I'm interested to see what happens with Flowers. I wouldn't be surprised to him brought up as Thome's replacement in the lineup while moving him around at DH/C/1B.
