  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 09:43 PM) I will say he was the only one to return some of the hard fouls. When he gave Foster the shot on the Korver three, I appluaded. He got Hansbrough really good on one play too, it was borderline dirty
  2. Rose had no confidence in his shot tonight, it's like you could tell he knew he was going to toss up a brick. He'd either hesitate/stutter before tossing up a shot that wasn't even close or he'd say "f*** it" and go for the lane.
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 09:40 PM) How bad were Foster's fouls? I didn't see the first 47:30 of the game. One was an elbow directly to Derrick Rose's face (you know it's bad when he reacts and starts coming at someone, he NEVER does)
  4. Holy s*** Carlos Boozer was f***ing awful. How many times did he get punked and have his shot blocked in the paint? Like 5? 6? And he and Noah were fumbling the god damn passes like they were Johnny Knox and Greg Olsen.
  5. Congress (by that I really mean the House) is kind of in la-la land on what the S&P was actually saying. One of the reasons they gave for the giant financial clusterf*** was political gridlock being unable to solve it. Then they, the sources of the political gridlock, say "see! we need to get it together because (insert rambling political bulls***)"
  6. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 12:50 PM) Which is why I don't really watch it at all anymore and just stick to college. I was already disgusted but once the Sonics were stolen I pretty much completely gave up. I just thought about this and it makes me wonder - you're not from Seattle and you're a Sonics fan, so why does geography matter in this case?
  7. The Sox have gone from the "new car" smell to the "omg who the f*** threw up in my backseat" smell.
  8. When a team moves to or away from your city, as far as sports fandom goes, all bets are off.
  9. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 08:30 PM) Did he go off today too? If he doesn't like it, quit. geez what crawled up your ass and died?
  10. Boston so far having their asses handed to them by the Knicks
  11. Chicago is a strong basketball market... the second team would probably never even be comparable to the White Sox vs. the Cubs in popularity compared to the Bulls, but it wouldn't be a failure either. A lot of people would go just on GP.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 07:26 PM) Haha. You said hear. I'm just pointing this out because I'm still embarrassed that I didn't realize that was EE in your avy. but At least I was intoxicated. Damn that's what happens when I don't look when I type
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 07:11 PM) You know I'm not like that. But today just reinforced how good this guy is when he's right. And he hasn't been that bad the last couple years, actually. It just looks bad compared to '08 and '09. Not just hear, I mean on Twitter etc. it's a little out of hand. Exactly like how people talk about a QB after a Super Bowl
  14. This is funny, CP3, while fantastic, has a great game for the first time in who knows how long and all of a sudden he's the best ever again.
  15. QUOTE (since56 @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 08:51 AM) Putz and Jenks don't look so bad now. Putz, no... Jenks is Jenks
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 11:37 PM) Just wait until all of the bandwagon Bulls fans come out of the woodwork during their playoff run. In fact, I bet it's a lot of the same fans. Bulls have been in the top 3 in attendance for the past 10 years (post Jordan era which includes the years where they were a complete disaster) FWIW and were never lower than 9th, and I think that was probably the 4th straight year of being the laughingstock of the NBA. Yeah there are going to be a bunch of Johnny-come-latelys coming around like the sorry ass "Celtics fans" and "Lakers fans" that popped up in the last 3 years, and they're going to start talking trash like they were real fans, but that's just sports. The type of people I'm talking about will be Bulls, Heat, Thunder, or Knicks fans in the next few years.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 01:05 AM) I'm ashamed. Even wites dawsons creek lookin ass knew who it was. Can you cite 5 lines from Friday? That will redeem you.
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 12:54 AM) Lol. Oh my god. I failed. I thought it was a former White Sox player. I'm buzzed. That doesn't count. It's not like he was an icon like pac or biggie. Can't believe he's been dead for like 15 years? lol don't feel too bad, I saw it on FB Mobile at first and I thought it was George Bell
  19. It's Eazy-E, and I need for you to hand over your black card.
  20. The reason the Republicans never compromise on anything, ever, is because the Democrats always do because a) they're scared and b) they don't respect their base at all in most cases, because the base doesn't hold them accountable.
  21. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 16, 2011 -> 11:49 PM) When saying Rose was 0-9 from 3 also keep in mind that he threw up 2 heaves at the end of quarters 1 and 2 and another desperation 3 just before the shot clock ran out. 0-6 is still bad but 0-9 is misleading. In the regular season he probably takes more of these than normal since he's the one with the ball usually, or he's the only one who can take the shot when the clock is winding down. It happens probably 2-3 times a game and it drops his 3pt% down a few points. He doesn't really give a s*** about stats.
  22. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Apr 16, 2011 -> 03:23 PM) Rose 0-9 from 3. And he still had 39... any kind of shot from beyond 15 feet today and he'd have had closer to 50.
  23. haven't read all the way thru this thread yet but: HOLY f*** at that game, thought the Pacers had it wrapped up with about 3 or 4 minutes to go. Boozer looked silly on defense trying to stop Hansbrough, it was embarrassing. I was actually hoping he'd foul out at the end b/c he wasn't even attempting to challenge his shots. Then when Korver hit the three to go ahead I pissed, s***, and jizzed on myself all at once. Howard was bulldozing over the Hawks but it didn't even really matter because nobody else did anything. He horse-collared someone (Hinrich?) from behind and got a tech and started pouting about it... cmon. Be happy that wasn't a flagrant 1.
  24. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 16, 2011 -> 10:30 PM) I think we can still win this thing considering we have 148 more game to go pretty much. I'm worried about the s***ty bullpen. Their record? Not so much.
  25. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 07:20 PM) You'll love this. Of course it isn't. It's funny that he says basically the complete opposite of what's true. Yeah let's defund NPR because it's f***ing the budget so bad. That'll get us out of this hole. Oh but you want to talk about raising several hundred billion in revenue since the highest brackets have the lowest taxes they've had in decades? Money that otherwise sits in accounts or buys T-bonds? You're not taking this seriously.
