QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 12:17 PM) Something similar should have happened with Call of Duty already, but people just can't stop playing a similar game with the same game engine for the past 3 years. I am also guilty of this I guess. The CoD IW engine needs some serious updating. Call of Duty = Madden. People don't stop running like sheep to buy a slightly different version of the same game they had the year before so I don't see why this would be a problem with CoD. They should just start numbering CoD by the year like sports games. CoD '11, Co'D '12, etc.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 06:43 PM) I got my current number 2 years ago and the previous owner was a high school girl at Barrington high school. For two weeks I got a bunch if texts messages about parties and after school stuff. It was kind of funny. Cellphone? (this is a landline)

My own comments? As of now, probably the best case scenario for the US. It gives them some kind of stability having the military take over, and gives time for other political movements (meaning one that is not the Brotherhood) time to organize. All of the other half-assed rants about how the US is so hypocritical (granted, it is, but that's not my point) are dumb, though. People like to act as if they've known an easier, better answer to Mideast problems all along and almost never know what was done, when, why it was done, and/or how. If it was that easy we'd have world peace already. edit: n/m SS, no I wasn't talking about comments here. I mean Twitter, Facebook, news sites, etc. The people who are generally idiots about everything.

The stupid c*** who had my phone number before me apparently had some horrific credit , which is annoying, but the bill collectors eventually do stop calling. However, c*** Muffin crosses the line into "I want to choke that b**** if I meet her" territory when she signs up for some Web service that bills me through Verizon using my phone number. Knowing full well that she doesn't have this number anymore. WTF?

Half the comments I see today really give me the urge to give a foreign policy/IR lecture.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 9, 2011 -> 04:34 PM) Gordon just recently joined. Cowley hasn't done anything since his Steelers lost. He was talking massive crap about the NFC. AFC fans are so god damn annoying.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 10, 2011 -> 07:41 PM) Last Thursday, I went to the gas station to fill up and got a cheap car wash just to get the salt off. Car Wash was an addition $5. After filling up, I drove around to the wash and it was closed down temporarily. No biggie, my recipt said I had a week to use it. So every day I drove by it and it was still blocked off. Today was my last chance to use it so when I went it was still blocked off. I took my receipt inside and was calm and just asked if I could put the $5 towards gas or some soda or whatever and I was told I could not do that. I explained that I bought the wash a week ago and it expires today and the guy said I purchased the car wash at my own risk and there was nothing I could do. I even said there was no sign saying that but he didn't budge. I didn't make a big deal out of it, it is only $5 but still. WTF Yeah, I had that almost happen to me but I was actually able to use it. Their explanation is total bulls***. "at my own risk" my ass and I would've made a scene. I didn't take a "risk," who the f*** does that? I paid for services I expected to receive, there was no disclaimer or anything. Why does it expire anyway? Are you going to credit my card if I don't use it?

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 10, 2011 -> 11:58 AM) Not a message board pet peeve, per se, but I hate the people who say: "Brr, it's cold! SO MUCH FOR GLOBAL WARMING!!@!112 Worse is when people say this because it snows a lot. That just makes me think you're stupid.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 8, 2011 -> 11:02 PM) If Pepsi Throwback is permanent...YES!!! I'm always afraid to pass up a case at the store. A year ago, I stocked up on months worth of cases. Mt. Dew Throwback is good too, but it tastes like Diet Mt. Dew. Heritage Dr. Pepper is good, but only if it's ice cold. I spent like $25 on it for no reason. lol

QUOTE (zenryan @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 04:10 PM) According to that article, the Bucs are by far the lowest in cap tied money. That should help get a free agent or two to come down. The Bucs have to sign free agents to reach the salary floor next season (assuming there is a cap)

The current political environment isn't going to change any time soon. I know a lot of people on the right cynically lol'd at people on the left who bought into the Obama "new kind of politics" movement and found out it was business as usual, then they bought totally into the Tea Party movement and swore it was going to be different and change everything. Politics is politics.

QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 03:01 PM) It never left here. I think they've re-released a couple times and Pepsi said they'd keep making it indefinitely. First time I've seen it at my grocery store though. http://consumerist.com/2010/10/pepsi-throw...ay-for-now.html I think it's just a matter of whether Pepsi was distributing to where you shopped. I love this s*** and if they make it permanently it's all I'll ever buy.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 02:44 PM) OT: Why don't you get out of this thread and go defend Aaron Rodgers some more? I think we showed that despite all of the BS we hear, our medical community went above and beyond, knowing that he'd never be paying a dime. I kind of felt like I was raping myself. Abused and violated. I think the medical community has some kind of ethical obligation to treat people in those kinds of situations don't they? Pretty sure in places like Texas and California this happens all the time.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 11:50 AM) People that work-out on cardio machines and talk on the phone. I wear an ipod turned up all the way so I can not hear them but the sight of it irks me, I do not know why. Also, people that work on a cardio machine for 10 minutes or less. I sweat like a pig, I wipe my machines off but if I do cardio for more than 90 minutes I think I begin stink a little. I do not care, it is gym that is going to happen. Sorry. I am hygenic so I do not think I offend anyone, at least he person I workout with does not say anything. The people that smell like smoke though do getto me as to the perfume folks. The women that wear excessive amounts of jewelry also get to me. It's understood that you're going to smell bad in the gym. It's the people that don't even try to not burn your nostrils that I'm talking about. Right now I'm thinking about one guy in particular. I used to try to get to the gym as late as I could in the morning to avoid this guy.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 02:14 PM) Seems like they did quite a lot for him. Certainly on a personal level I feel badly for his situation, but I also think this was the best way to handle it. They spent gobs of money and time to get him stable, and then sent him home. I think the advocate's statement that he was treated like garbage is absurd. He's here illegally, he broke the law and gambled, and he lost. That loss should not be extended to the rest of the country. He is owed nothing, but received a lot. Yeah pretty much. They saved his life. People get caught up in issues sometimes and forget that they don't actually have a right to be here or any rights as a citizen. Other people get caught up arguing against that and forget that they're people with human rights. Sucks to be him, but hey, you could've died...

QUOTE (danman31 @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 02:33 PM) You'll be glad to know that they've significantly reduced that in Brotherhood. The number of view points drops from 83 to 24. However, there is still a decent amount of climbing like that. The climbing I'm fine with. It's when they make the climb take twice as long because you're looking for somewhere to hold and you have to keep rounding the corner to go higher. f*** that.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 09:37 AM) Don't know if you are serious or not, but Steeler's fans are just unbearably stupid for whatever reason. Hard for me to even find a few that are reasonable and actually understand the game. I was being half-serious. The people that post here are mostly pretty smart and when someone says something dumb they get shouted down. Other unfiltered places on the internet though, yikes.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 10:15 PM) Now I get to read from the dumbest fan base in the NFL about how Troy and Dick Lebeau should retire and Ben will never be a good QB again. Bears fans are going to talk about how Troy and LeBeau should retire and Ben will never be a good QB again?

QUOTE (ChiTown @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 12:05 AM) I was referencing my other account, which they suspended because they couldn't take the trash talk. Bittersweet victory for me, tired of annoying Bears fans giving me s*** and being cocky all year so this was the icing on the cake how it all worked out. Football or no football next year, were repeating next year or living with this memory two season from now. there is no "they," SoxFan1 suspended you for calling someone a prick. If you HAD been banned and that account was unusable it wouldn't be too bright of you to openly announce it was you on a new account and start talking s*** anyway... Seriously go log into your other account and shut up about it already.

Assassin's Creed 2 is a pretty bad ass game, better than the first game in every way, but the climbing tall buildings and having to wrap around to find things to climb on is for the birds. Also I'm not sure what it looks like on the PS3 when you get trophies, but I think my game had a glitch in it where right after I got an achievement, I got something in blue text that had similar words for my achievement right after. It only happened a couple of times though. maybe it was for the PC something the devs forgot to take out since the coding is more or less the same for the PC and 360? Just weird.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 10:24 PM) A few years ago when I first moved to Las Vegas, my then roommate and I used to go to the gym after work every day. He used to wear this green tshirt every single day. He would just take it off after the workout, and then put it back in his bag. I didn't notice until a few weeks into our workouts that he never actually washed the shirt. It started getting crusty and just reeking of absolutely awfulness when I finally said "Do you wear the same shirt every day?" And he started cracking up laughing. I am sure there are people who do this, at least to some degree, and this is why some people just smell like absolute horrendousness. Yuck. I would stop going. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 10:32 PM) You know what I hate? There's a room of 40 spin bikes and about 10 people in the class. I purposely sequester myself far away from everyone else... and someone has to take the bike right next to or right behind me. Same thing for when I'm peeing in the urinal although this doesn't make me mad so much as it makes me wonder why a stranger wants to be so close to me when my cock is out.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 05:26 PM) lostfan called it with the body odor. You're obviously going to have excess sweat flying all over the place. Which I don't have a problem with. As I sweat pretty hard when doing cardio. But no need to compound that by not showering or wearing deodorant before a workout or even worse wearing non-clean attire while working out. ^^yes. I know it's the gym and you're not going to be able to control the fact that you don't smell too clean but I shouldn't be able to smell you from 10 feet away. Seriously wear deodorant. They make it for a reason, you should not smell like that ever. And you don't get a free pass on smelling like s***, onions, feet, and ripe p**** because you're in an intense workout. GTFOHWTBS
