Roethlisberger was better when he was raping people.

the WR snubs are getting pretty ridiculous though.

If i'm looking at myself in the mirror it's not because I'm being vain, it's because I'm trying to make sure I'm isolating whatever muscle I'm working on and not cheating with my back (usually with curls) but unless you do it a bunch of times in a row I'm not going to be pissed if you get in front of me for 2 seconds.

people who don't let a f***ing argument die, when it's one poster's crusade against everyone else and they have to reply to every single post on the topic and argue it vehemently (this happens several times a year in PHT). In the same vein as above, hijacking every topic and turning it into the exact same argument again, and again, and again, and again for weeks, months, and sometimes across seasons. A few years ago it was about whether Anderson sucks and if so, how much. Not too long ago it was on keeping Crede or moving on, although this was more of the paragraph above. This past year it's been about getting rid of Hudson for Jackson.

The first 2 weeks of the year with all the quitters tying everything up. People who sweat like pigs and don't wipe off the equipment. Also, people who just smell so bad in general when they work out that you just don't want to be near them. Old guys in the locker room who walk around in the locker room with their old ass gray-haired stretched out balls dangling halfway to their knees. I get it, you're not shy, but any longer than 30 seconds or so and you're doing it on purpose.

Sox have been trying to extend Danks for 2.5 years

QUOTE (Pale Sox @ Feb 5, 2011 -> 04:15 AM) He's my girlfriend's favourite player because he's always smiling and looks like a kid having fun. If he makes her complain less that I'm making her watch the White Sox play, he's worth A-Rod money. His play this game doesn't hurt either. He's simply talented and fun to watch. My favourite defensive play of 2010. http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_...ame_pk%3D265204 Ha, I remember that play, awesome (this link starts off showing Danks highlights BTW, you have to go to the Alexei highlight at the bottom). I think he did the same thing 2 nights in a row, went way out to get a ground ball and got the runner with an impossibly long throw all the way across the infield. Vizquel grinning because it reminds him of himself from 10 years ago.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 5, 2011 -> 09:03 AM) Their fans. This is one of the better baseball towns/fanbases in the nation and they have been stuck with a loser for the better part of 25 years. They're frustrated with Peter Angelos, and they are demanding the organization make some sort of effort to compete. Definitely a few steps away still, but I think it buys them time with their fanbase when they make signings of this nature. That's about right. The attendance is pathetic, but it's not because they don't love the team out here, they're just sick of losing. what's this going on 12, 14 years now?

If it was this difficult to do a half-ass overhaul of the insurance system then what this whole 2-year ordeal has taught me is that it's virtually impossible to overhaul the actual healthcare system, even a little. it's never going to happen.

Nice trolling article here; http://www.slate.com/blogs/blogs/scocca/ar...spx#add-comment Yes our blizzard out East last year was worse than yours strictly in terms of total snowfall. Everything else he tries to say is idiotic.

How do people not know when a Super Bowl party starts? I mean how do you not know the Super Bowl always starts at the exact same time every year? Seriously? When do you THINK the party starts?

QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 07:33 PM) Goddamn right Kevin Love is an All-Star. Thank you for not being an idiot, David Stern. Not having him as an All-Star is just f***ing retarded. This is overriding one glaring flaw (Yao Ming - f***ing China) by correcting another. All is well.

QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 06:56 PM) Definitely agree. Just curious, though, how many of Alexei's errors were of the throwing variety? I'm only going off my admittedly-fuzzy memory, but I seem to recall him making some bad throws. Could totally be wrong. That's one of those Kalapse questions. Alexei gets a s***-ton more defensive chances than, say, Derek Jeter (I think the number was something like 200+ more). I don't trust my memory to tell me if all of his errors were high degree-of-difficulty plays.
-
People who don't realize that Alexei is great on defense because they look at the "E" column make me bang my head against the wall, twice if they are Sox fans. He only makes those errors because, well, he actually has the ability to actually move to where the ball is. Most other shortstops just feebly run to where the ball is hit as it goes into the outfield and it ends up a single. So it's actually saying Alexei is less of a shortstop because he has elite range.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 06:14 PM) The countries I really thought about on that were the ones nearby the 2 war zones, the countries north of Afghanistan like Uzbekistan, the countries around the Middle East that hosted our forces during the Iraq invasion. The paragraph you posted about realpolitik is what I was saying before the mujahideen were brought up. Everyone acts shocked, SHOCKED! that the US gets its hands dirty sometimes and has a cynical approach to its own national interests. I'm not sure why. We fully expect other countries to do it, we don't expect them to roll over for us when our interests collide, and we damn sure don't expect us to do it for them. There's times when it goes overboard (overthrowing a leader, nearly overtly installing a puppet dictator to look out for our trading in bananas) but most of this stuff is kind of normal, and other countries that screech at us for looking out for ourselves are nakedly hypocritical and they know it, and they know we know they know it.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 10:16 AM) I live in the west loop and I have full bars pretty much anywhere I go including the loop. With that said, sometimes in areas where there are alot of people with cell phones, you could see a decline in service or a dropped call. Its not bad, I would say average. The best performance from a wireless carrier I ever had in Chicago was TMobile a few years ago, their signal strength downtown was always full. I kind of think T-Mobile's service in Chicago (not downtown) is meh compared to their service in DC/Baltimore (outstanding, here).

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 09:55 AM) Yeah, because the media was all roses and sunshine during the Bush years.... GMAB. WTF, he was talking about the Cold War. And yeah, the media kinda just blindly followed whatever the Bush administration said on Iraq and didn't really start questioning it until it was too late to matter.

He is an "athlete" and you're saying he shouldn't get credit for his "athleticism." Would you say a NASCAR driver is overrated because of their driving ability?

I approve of this deal.

i don't really see this as whining so much. Not like what he was doing last year.

QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 11:39 PM) America supporting its best interest (opposing the USSR) ends up not being better for them in the long haul. that still doesn't really have to do with what I said, and besides, that actually did work as intended. They just didn't bother following through on it and let it blow up in their face.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 09:58 PM) Having someone give a five second explanation for a delay has nothing to do with funding. It's not really their priority, the operators are usually doing something else and they'll forget.
