  1. I have a theory I'm working on that Trump is mentally trapped in the year 1991 and he's only capable of processing a limited amount of new information. It would explain several things. -Why he thinks Russia is much more willing to cooperate with the United States than it actually is - because it was much more friendly then, compared to now -Why he thinks crime is worse than it's ever been. 1991 was still the crack era and gang violence was rampant. He mentioned Washington DC during the debate on Sunday. DC was a ghetto in 1991, but it's been thoroughly gentrified and has astronomical property values now. -Why he still, for some f***ing reason, thinks the Central Park 5 are guilty despite being exonerated by DNA evidence. This would have been a wrong, but not insane, opinion to have that year. -I would not be surprised to find out that he thinks the Gulf War and the Iraq War are the same thing. He is somehow aware that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were presidents, and George H.W. Bush is no longer president (whether he knows Bush 43 is Bush 41's son is an open question).
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 10, 2016 -> 06:53 PM) http://deadsp.in/kHvyJdn Annnnnd that's a wrap. (Trump + N-Word) Black people, and non-black people who don't have their heads up their asses, don't need to see a video of Trump saying the n-word. That's for all the clueless people who are hung up on what they think is just a bunch of PC language violations, for everyone else, they have a whole ass mountain of evidence to conclude what should be obvious. Those people think evidence of racism is one of the following: -Using the n-word -Direct, open involvement with the KKK -Literally nothing else If this video gets released, expect another round of people pretending to be shocked that they didn't know Trump has been this person his entire life.
  3. I'm having a hard time believing that people who don't know the difference between dirty talk/crude language and sexual assault are actually this stupid.
  4. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Oct 7, 2016 -> 07:18 PM) Bill Clinton said worse on the golf course! Call Sean Hannity, he was there too! More or less the official response of the Trump campaign. Once again, Bill Clinton is not running for president.
  5. Who is "Joe American" supposed to be? Mostly white dudes and some white women from non-coastal areas? They don't dictate the terms of presidential elections anymore. That's in part what the Trump phenomenon is all about. It's like when people say "real America" all derisively. I know people like to hate on California and the east coast (I know, I live on the east coast and I hate them too) but that's where half the country's population lives. There's no such thing as someone who's more authentically American.
  6. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Oct 6, 2016 -> 04:17 PM) Well unfortunately, he will not be coming home. During exploratory surgery they discovered cancer in his liver and spleen, he lived 9 incredible years and the fact that this hurts so bad speaks volumes. Thank you all so much for your well wishes, it legitimately lifted my spirits during this whole process. Duke was the perfect dog and he will not soon be missed. Had a similar experience a couple years ago when one of my cats suddenly got very sick and found out it was lymphoma. I was devastated. Sorry for your loss man.
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 7, 2016 -> 08:36 AM) Any bears injury should scare you. Has anyone come back ahead of their prognosis? We have to have worst med staff in league (in one of the best medical cities in country) The Bulls too.
  8. This really doesn't matter, because in the week-plus since this conversation over internet polls started, Trump's taken a big dive in the ACTUAL polls, and all that creeping-back he did in September is basically wiped out.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 6, 2016 -> 01:11 PM) He's eyeing slipping their legislation through budgetary loophole and then running for president in 2020. Paul Ryan is a phony and a political coward, but he will absolutely get a pass for this and get to keep the "thoughtful, earnest conservative" label no matter what happens.
  10. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 6, 2016 -> 12:16 PM) This recent segment on O'Reilly about Asians...just....uhh... Fox News Outdoes Itself With a Ridiculously Racist Segment About Trump and Asians So not exactly shocking that Clinton's up by more than 40 points against Trump with Asians. Thank you people of color for saving white america from its trump-voting self. Dude said basically that this segment is supposed to be funny and people need to lighten up. This is why the vast majority of comedians aren't conservative, save for the occasional Larry the Cable Guy or unfunny Dennis Miller.
  11. I really wish people would just be honest about this. "(Candidate X) will appoint Supreme Court justices and federal judges who will do things I agree with most of the time" instead of inventing all these unnecessary contortions to justify that statement, that nobody actually believes. This is a valid reason for just about every other issue, so with judges it's no different. All the Constitution says about it is that the President appoints them with the advice and consent of the Senate, and it was written to be that open-ended on purpose.
  12. Oh god this is like a Cutler debate among Bears fans. Same thing being said over and over and over.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 01:47 PM) Party lines are strong but this will be the second election in a row I don't vote my party, Republican. Greg haters still won't give me props for voting my conscience over party. I despise Hillary of course, but can't vote for Trump. And like I told u I voted for Obama cause, well, how could any sane person vote for Romney. I guess eight years of this means maybe I am not a Republican anymore. I don't know what I am, cause I certainly didn't vote for the Republican idiot running the state of Kansas, Brownback. I don't know anything about Johnson. I guess I could learn. Anecdotally, I don't know a single person from Kansas who approves of Brownback.
  14. f***, White was just starting to get the hang of playing WR at this level too.
  15. This ain't hard. I didn't agree with everything Obama did, because such a person does not exist, but as someone who generally falls on the left for issues, I approve of Obama's presidency. Clinton wasn't my first choice, but she knows what she's talking about will essentially do the same as Obama's done, and I'm okay with that, hence I'm voting for her and I don't feel the need to hedge on it or pretend that's not what I'm doing so I can have it both ways, like conservatives are doing with Trump. Trump, specifically, is terrifying to me, and represents an existential threat to American democracy, and not in a productive way either. There is no f***ing way in hell I would ever be convinced to vote for him. Everything else y'all are talking about is noise to me. It doesn't matter.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 10:20 AM) Literally whatever Trump accuses someone else of, he's guilty of to a much more bigly extent. It's amazing. Last night he tweeted about Clinton's ties to Putin last night. I s*** you not.
  17. QUOTE (shysocks @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 10:09 AM) Relevant. If you had already seen this when you made the post, that's cheating. https://twitter.com/HillaryClinton/status/783645247247114240 Also LMAO at Repubs complaining Kaine interrupted too much. Pence kept saying the Clinton campaign was insult-driven and denying the Trump campaign was, so during the debate Clinton's campaign retweeted Trump actually insulting Kaine in real-time. Peak 2016. Oh, and Trump himself said Kaine interrupted too much.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 07:41 PM) The original argument centered on paying taxes, and avoiding taxes. I am glad to see the left wing finally admit the Mitt Romney was right though. Come on Mike, this is weak sauce and you know it. The left's objection to Romney's 47% comments wasn't a pedantic dispute about how many people don't pay federal income taxes. It was the subtext - he was saying to a crowd of wealthy donors that all Obama supporters were moochers who refused to take responsibility for themselves (whatever percentage of people don't pay income taxes, they're not all Democrats, but Romney tied a direct line) and that he was going to ignore them as president. He spoke in stereotypes, not facts, and people took issue with how he talked about them, not whether he was technically right or wrong.
  19. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 12:17 AM) He would set LGBT rights back decades. That's the whole GOP right now really. That stuff is all in the platform now.
  20. This debate was a snooze fest. I mean even more than VP debates usually are. Only in American politics does style count more than substance, and this election, and hopefully ONLY this election, is one where one of the VP candidates can pretend he has an imaginary running mate who actually didn't say all the things he said, and pretty much lie about that for the entire 90 minutes, and it's going to be treated like it's not a big deal. Pence's debate performance was basically "Donald Trump? Who the hell is that?"
  21. QUOTE (Tony @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 03:44 PM) https://twitter.com/Slate/status/783385174792818689 She's the queen of shade. And, once again, she never says his name.
  22. Alex Jones said Assange is a "Hillary butt plug." It's kind of funny how people live in their own reality and interpret s*** however they want.
  23. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 02:28 PM) People defending it also dont seem to understand the difference between a corporate loss and a personal loss. Without the full return I cant tell what is in statement 1, but we can likely assume that the loss derived from 2 events, the bankruptcies of Trump Taj Mahal and Trump Plaza, that were then reorganized into Trump Hotel & Casino Resorts in 1995. Most likely Trump owned stock in those 2 companies. When they went bankrupt there is a chance that the value of those stocks effectively became 0. The loss is actually likely not true. The stock was likely never worth $900mil. Its all speculation, but I would bet not many individuals have ever claimed a loss that big. He said some bulls*** about a "fiduciary responsibility" but that's his personal taxes and there's no such thing.
  24. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 01:56 PM) Daily Beast with a breakdown of Trump losing almost a billion dollars and dodging taxes Art of the Steal: This Is How Trump Lost $916M and Avoided Tax Oh and a couple of days ago, someone did a calc and found that Trump accounted for just shy of 2% of entire national Net Operating Loss all by himself. Everyone defending this by saying "it just shows he's a great businessman" doesn't know or care HOW he lost all that money - he over-leveraged his casinos with mountains of debt (intentionally), then milked as much for himself personally as he could while leaving the other investors out to dry through the bankruptcy(ies). And of course he left thousands of contractors out to dry who never got paid for their work (which he says is substandard, while bragging about how great his buildings are).
  25. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 01:50 PM) New video footage of Assange's press conference from earlier today: he should run for president as a Republican in 2020, that's what most of them do
