QUOTE (Hawkfan @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 10:47 AM) Yes, but he'll probably get another incentive filled 1 year contract. I threw that in there because you said he should be released which would be the wrong term, that's all. Having said that bringing back Brown is probably better than anything else the Bears could possibly acquire, short of chloroforming Ozzie Newsome and getting him to trade Ed Reed for a set of shoulder pads.

Please give a link to that. Not bringing in any serious competition is the same mistake they made with Rex. -
Mike Brown is a free agent.

I think I'm going to get a PS3 later this year, but I need a new TV for downstairs first.

I don't know if this has already been posted, but Ludacris's new album is the hotness.

I'd be lying if I said there weren't times I hoped that incessant movie talkers would get shot.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 09:05 AM) So much for no connection between the two... Who ever said there was "no connection between the two?" Not even Obama has said that.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 07:55 AM) Not enough Ho's and Guns? Random beatdowns just dont give you that fuzzy feeling anymore? Ha, well there's plenty of that. In SR2 I made a female character and took her to the mall and put on a g-string and some pasties. lol. You can do missions and watch cutscenes dressed like a stripper. Score.

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 08:32 AM) Cowboys=Cubs, the nation crowning then NFC kings before playing a game and don't do anything in the post season, or get to the post season, for that matter. Not really fair, the Cowboys have actually won something and don't have a history of being pathetic. -

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 08:01 AM) I keep reading stuff like this as if Angelo is Stand Pat Gillick. The guy makes moves. They may not always be right, but he makes moves. He traded for Thomas Jones, Brendan Ayenbedajo, Adewale Ogunleye, and of course some of the wrong moves were trading away Jones, trading for Archuleta, and trading away Chris Harris, but the fact remains that Angelo actually does make moves. Correct, he does. What he does not do is give out ridiculous contracts to the top FAs every year (Faneca), only if it makes sense (Briggs). For the record, the trading away of Chris Harris was Part 2 of the same mistake (trading for Archuleta). -
QUOTE (ScottPodRulez22 @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 03:05 AM) GTA IV > Saints Row 2 That's neither here nor there, I got GTA IV midnight on the day it came out. I'm actually pretty disappointed in that game FWIW. Something just didn't feel right.

QUOTE (Texsox @ Dec 27, 2008 -> 09:32 AM) If alcohol is your starter drug, that same "dealer" may sell you cigars, porn, or more alcohol. If marijuana is your starter drug, it opens up more and harsher illegal drugs. 1 - You only can say that because alcohol is legal, but its effect and the associated consequences are much stronger than anything marijuana does. Alcohol is dangerous, and deadly. Marijuana makes people lazy, silly, hungry, and/or stupid, and really is mild by comparison - plus, I'm no medical expert, but I'm fairly certain the health effects are nothing as bad as alcohol (and aren't as bad as cigarettes, either). People bypass the effects of alcohol because you can go around the corner from your house and get it, but it opens up the same gate as any other drug. 2 - Like with the first statement, that's only because marijuana is illegal and that might depend on where you get your stuff from. Your weed dealer might be selling just different types of weed, or he might be selling some harder stuff too (or be in an area where the harder stuff is around).

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 12:00 PM) Fine. let's just have the China model where we all make the same, and are told by the government what jobs we all can have. I'm ready for it now... since I got fired, I've seen the ways of communism. I WANT COMMUNISM! Give me my house, job, doctor, what I can do and when! RIGHT NOW! I'm tired of the free market. It screwed me! DAMN IT, why do I not get a bailout? Holy Kaperbole, you were about due for one of these posts.

I just bought Prince of Persia: Sands of Time for the 360. I'm starting on Saints Row 2 finally, after I forced my stepdaughter to get it back after I figured out her lame-assed plot to "steal" it. Maybe it's just me, but this game really seems graphically scaled back a little from the first Saints Row. It's still a lot of fun though, I loved the first game.

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 26, 2008 -> 09:27 AM) We played bowling all day. I am destined to get a 300 game. If/when I do, I would never play again. I would probably be better off getting a PS3 when the price comes down. My wife is so good at bowling that it's not even any fun to play against her. She kicks my ass all up and down that thing.

Marijuana is not a starter drug, that would be alcohol.

I've never had those problems with my 360, I mean I have had it tell me the disc is unreadable before (sometimes in the middle of a game) but it just does it once and then works when I restart it. Never persistently. My Wii just abruptly stopped working though... ugh. Gotta send it in for repairs.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Dec 24, 2008 -> 03:49 PM) I'm all for making Marijuana legal, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. Me too, I'm willing to settle for decriminalization/deprioritization which isn't ideal but at least we don't waste a bunch of man-hours and tax money chasing our tails. I know a few cops, the consensus seems to be "do one or the other, either keep it all the way illegal or make it legal" because right now the way the laws are, it's illegal but it ends up wasting the cop's time to do anything about it because it doesn't go anywhere in court unless it's a large amount.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Dec 24, 2008 -> 11:54 AM) Its overachieving based on expectations and based on what the numbers appear to be. We have a rookie RB, shotty OL, nothing close to a legit WR and an unproven QB who appears to be regressing as the season goes on, yet were tied for the division lead. If they werent exceeding expectations we would be scoring 10 points a game and only have a couple wins. Its pretty basic stuff here. About 100% what I was getting at, I didn't really think I was saying anything that complex or controversial. -
QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Dec 24, 2008 -> 01:04 PM) I can't imagine the cost of all the hours and man-power involved in something like that... Exactly... now have those people become regulators, and start collecting taxes, you start saving and making money, you can use the tax revenue on something else.
-
Legalization of marijuana is just so logical it's out of control. Don't even get me started.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 24, 2008 -> 12:36 PM) You'd be surprised. I do like to read what people are talking about. No, I don't think I'd be surprised, that's why I asked. I figure you're an open-minded kind of guy, I was curious.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 24, 2008 -> 12:39 PM) So we should just ignore the laws as they are in Iraq because it isn't a big deal here? ^^
