If all radio went away tomorrow where would the recording industry go? My first guess would be a 600 mph nose-dive into the ground.

Politically, it's true. The problem is when the actual candidate says it, because it sounds like they want it to happen. That's why McCain is distancing himself from it, because it comes across as crass and cynical.

I think it's also pretty intersting to note that 7 of the 9 SCOTUS justices currently serving were appointed by Republican judges. Only Ginsburg and Breyer were appointed by Clinton. So I see pissed off conservatives on TV raving about judicial activism or whatever (god I hate that term, and the abuse of it) but it just doesn't hold water. This is all pretty simple to me. The job of a Supreme Court justice is to interpret the Constitution, and the current administration's policies were not in line, according to people who know quite a bit more about the law than I do. Figure out a way to make it work according to the Consitution. If you don't like it... change the Consitution, but good luck with that one.

Nobody is content with his current hitting, but he has shown potential, and he isn't exactly in the most ideal situation to up ones stats. On top of the sporadic AB's, I think he has his most trouble when he is trying to accomplish something specific. Be it get a guy in, move a runner over, or be the hero. When his mental approach changes he suffers and it's more a matter of him trying too hard instead of staying relaxed. Most young players go through it...hell a lot of veteran players go through it. BA is progressing fine...his head is on straight and he has the tools....giving up on him now....would be brilliantly stoopid. Awesome post, it makes me happy that there are other people that can remember longer than 7 days ago and can think farther than the next 7.

Imus can say whatever he wants... but there is nothing in the Constitution that protects him from the backlash.
