  1. I got one of these and it's cool albeit totally unnecessary and superfluous http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Control-Anywh...=cm_rdp_product
  2. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 07:33 PM) Finally, someone listened to reason and got the HTC One. It's the ONLY Android based phone that I believe the hardware is on par with Apple's quality. The damn thing just looks and FEELS awesome. What you mean finally, I got mine the week it came out, lol
  3. Manning went into the locker room at halftime and entered A B A C A B B
  4. Guess who was set to take Peyton Manning in his fantasy draft before having him snatched on the pick before me, and now has him starting against me this week and is getting sodomized by 70 points? Yeah... FML
  5. Holy s***, Peyton's been shredding the Ravens alive. You get the feeling this is personal right now.
  6. I realize I'm in the minority but I don't really give a s*** that the Ravens have to play on the road. That's not the Orioles' problem but everybody's acting like they owe the Ravens something. And Ravens fans can't really come up with a better justification for forcing the Orioles to move their game other than "baseball sucks."
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 07:25 PM) Hub Arkush is really bitter about the demise of his magazine. They asked him if the Ravens would be good this year, he asid they weren't good last year they just got hot. Then someone said that they like the Seahawks. Hub said a lot of people love the Seahawks, they need to study more. Then he said they were a good football team. So a team he said was no good last year won the SB, and he is ripping guys for liking a team he said is good. Of course he just laughed off the Bears. He would laugh off the Bears if the had the current day equivalent of the 1985 team. Hub made an article admitting he was wrong about Kyle Kong but the entire thing was loaded with backhanded compliments, which is normal for him
  8. Jerry Angelo said something earlier today about how Cutler is a good bet to have a top year, then he went on to say how his numbers are pedestrian relative to his performance. While that's true... I GUESS HE WOULD KNOW WOULDN'T HE considering he's the one who gave him Omiyale and Webb as left tackles, and a receiving corps of Knox, Hester, Williams, and Davis... at the same time... yeah. So glad this clueless f*** isn't still running the team.
  9. Chris Sale is going to strike out 16 and get a no decision because White Sox.
  10. It's just that time of the month for Brandon, he'll be fine. Dude tends to overreact sometimes, and he has a tendency to say s*** that makes no sense at all ("Hester is better than me"). He is b****ing about the team not taking his injury seriously when they gave him all summer off to recover, and he's frustrated because he thought he was gonna be totally game-ready now but he had that s***ty game in Oakland. He is still "that guy" but he has it more under control than he did before.=
  11. I've had a bunch of big hard drives die on me lately.

    Syria

What's going to be accomplished by intervening? Most of the rebels are Koran-f***ing pieces of s*** so it's like Afghanistan all over again. Syria is far more developed than Afghanistan which barely qualifies as a society but still.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 03:06 AM) 45 ppg was an exaggeration. 40 ppg probably is as well. Just as the silly notion that MJ playing today would average 40/45 ppg or could score 100 points. LeBron would be every bit as dominant, probably moreso, in the 80's (inferior athletes across the board and drastically inferior defense outside of the Pistons) as he is today. No, I don't think LeBron is better than MJ as of 2013. Sorry for taking so long to reply. Apparently you can call respected mods f***ing idiots (Steve to Balta) and not get suspended. But I can get 30 days for laughing at something people think I shouldn't laugh at. I laugh at beheadings, too, by the way Soxtalk mods. Does that warrant 60 days? LeBron in the 80s would've been more of a banger (if he wasn't a clone of Magic), not the same type of player he is right now (unless he was a shooting guard and not a small forward). It was a different game then, different rules, much harder to get to the rim than it is today, different tempo, a lot more going on near the basket and post play was emphasized more. Jordan was the first to do that and he changed the game and left a lot of new standards and trends, and the rules of the game have changed which means LeBron's adapted to today's game different than he'd have adapted in the 80s. That said, when people say LeBron would be some kind of shrinking violet and he'd get beat up in the 80s or whatever that's really asinine. It's like they've never actually SEEN LeBron.
  14. The throw he had from Cutler wasn't the best placed, but there was NOBODY around him for like 5 yards and all he had to do was turn around and adjust. He got both hands on it and it fell. Marshall does this sometimes but he's Marshall, his next play will be a spectacular one-handed catch over a 6'2" corner while he was double covered for 16 yards.
  15. QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 25, 2013 -> 07:27 PM) I posted this over on talkbears in reference to the fact that Fendi Onobun wasn't apart of the first rounds of cuts and I'd like to get some more thoughts.... This might be a silly, out there, potential dumb comment that at the same time could be a somewhat innovative thought so bear with me(pun intended).... Is it possible that the thought process behind keeping Fendi is using him as a decoy of sorts? When you think about a guy with his size(6'6") and speed(4.4 40) is just having him out there stretching out the middle of the defense worth having on the team? Just having him out there will demand attention right? Teams aren't just going to let him run free deep down the field. It's certainly an out there thought but if I expected that thought from someone it'd be a guy like Trestman. I would be ready to concede you're onto something here, but... Kellen Davis. 6'7", athletic, totally f***ing useless.
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 25, 2013 -> 09:37 PM) Ya I stayed away from commenting on your defensive players cause I know nothing when it comes to IDP's in fantasy ha. haha not that complicated really, I'm not an expert myself. Having a lot of solo tackles = good, interceptions = good, forced fumbles = good, sacks = wonderful. Tillman a few years ago used to be a sleeper because everyone wasn't onto the fact that his forced fumbles would put him up at the top of the turnovers list with the interceptions leaders, but he's not a secret anymore so people take him as the 1st or 2nd DB on the board.
  17. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 25, 2013 -> 09:30 PM) Love the Darryl Richardson pick and absolutely love Kap. I think you're going to see some pretty huge regression from Morris and Andre though this year. Obviously that's just my opinion and I could be completely wrong. AJ maybe, but Morris is a Shanahan back and those are strong known quantities IMO. The picks I like best are Tillman, Sherman, and McCourty, those were the three highest rated DBs I had (McCourty due to his return duties) and I landed all three. And Posluszny.
  18. PPR, IDP, keeper money league I drafted for a friend who's out of the country (we split winnings if he wins). I think I did okay, tell me what you guys think (his keepers were Kaepernick, AJ, and D'Qwell Jackson) QB Colin Kapernick RB Alfred Morris RB Daryl Richardson WR Andre Johnson WR Victor Cruz TE Greg Olsen OFLEX Marques Colston K Phil Dawson LB Paul Posluszny LB D'Qwell Jackson DL Anthony Spencer DL Muhammed Wilkerson DB Charles Tillman DB Richard Sherman DFLEX Brandon Boykin P Donnie Jones Bench: WR Josh Gordon RB Mark Ingram DB Devin McCourty (probably should be starting in DFLEX) TE Owen Daniels QB Ben Roethlisberger RB Michael Bush
  19. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 16, 2013 -> 11:30 AM) I was really impressed with Forte last night. He looks like he really slimmed down. If he's out in the flat and can get more room to run that's going to be great. Coaches seem to recognize that, Forte's better outside than in, although Long was giving him bigger-than-normal holes
  20. Steve I want one of those "Jimmy Gets Buckets" shirts
  21. I hope all the people who flipped out last April understand why those of us who liked the Long pick were confused about people getting so pissed off that the Bears drafted an offensive lineman with the first round pick. Anyway the first offensive series was bad but after that the starters looked really good. Cutler had one bad play when he forced a ball to Marshall, let it go about 6/10 of a second too late, and threw right at the linebacker. The other 4 were completions, in single coverage, Marshall is almost always going to win those matchups so if this was the regular season that's ok. Trestman also wasn't using any red zone plays they're actually going to use.
  22. Damn, I knew Dom Capers was pretty overrated but didn't know Packers fans hated him that much
  23. When I was on a cruise this past weekend we were all in the pool with our kids and this woman comes to the pool, she had enormous implants and her bikini top could barely hold her, probably the only reason she didn't bust completely out is b/c implants hold up mostly on their own. Anyway we are all trying not to stare and act normal although this is pretty typical for Miami, and I noticed she had a teenage son and thought "this has to be so awkward"
  24. Reading Deadspin's "why your team sucks" and someone wrote this in the email section: We have one discernible pass play: Jay Cutler evading three defensive lineman, deftly stepping over his own fallen piece of s*** guards, and then having to unleash a 100-mph bullet into a tight window to a quadruple-covered Brandon Marshall, all as he gets speared by two blitzing linebackers. He will go 15 of 26 for 210 yards doing this, and then all week I have to hear that he is an overrated p****. f*** you all.
