I've heard that a lot of people have mechanical problems with their 360's. Anybody on here have this problem?

I have a question for all you gamers: XBox 360 or Playstation 3? I sold my Wii last year and I'm looking to get one of those systems. Which system is better for sports games, particularly MLB 2K9? EDIT: I'm just going to open up a poll to help me decide.
