Who the hell #70 on the Sox? I turned the game on and just caught #70 running and had no idea who it is.

Seems to me that this organization loves Crede way too much. Obviously, he has minimal trading value, so why not just cut him? Sure, his defense is superior to Fields, but IMO, Fields is going to be amazing. I can see them re-signing him for a 'just because' reason, seeing as they won't release him and his $5 million salary for some odd reason. Thoughts?

93, because I really think guys in the division like Sheffield, Pudge, and Maggs can have future injuries as they age. Also, with Detroit's horrible bullpen and mostly crap rotation with the exception of Verlander, they can have major problems winning. Offense doesn't win it all. We should be able to get some wins against The Almighty Detroit Tigers if the above injuries should happen.

Hopefully Anderson can stake his new claim to the CF job by then. The key to all these moves is looking at how they set up the future, not just how they set up this year. There are a lot to the "rules" of Major League Baseball, as evidenced by the whole Uribe waiver wire saga, that we don't understand that I am sure are affecting many of these personal moves. And you are a dumb ass manager of a business if you don't under stand all the rules. This team should be pretty damn good come 2010, even without depth in the minors. The Tigers should have passed their time by then and you never know the Indians could start selling off some of their players that are ARB eligible and becoming free agents. Just a thought. I agree with what you said -- Fields being sent down doesn't bother me much either. On another note it does because he loses another year of not doing what he should be doing --being our starting 3rd baseman. Wouldn't it be a b*t*h if the Sox traded Fields and resigned Crudy?
