Today i read that Bill Smith was supposed to meet with Theo Epstein to try and work in Jacoby Ellsbury and Clay Buchholz into the deal.

I heard a rumor that the Cards were interested in a deal that would send Scott Rolen to the Brewers for south paw Chris Capuano and outfielder Kevin Mench. Wouldn't this be something the Sox should look at? Seeing as the Brewers are obviously interested in a third baseman and it would give the Sox another proven veteran. What do you guys think about this scenario?
