So Anderson signed a one year MAJOR league deal with the Royals. On a side note what's the chance that the Royal lineup will feature all Getz, Fields and Anderson in the starting lineup?

With that said, assuming the backup catcher is Flowers/FA, as of right now there is no space for a DH, if they send Nix to AAA, and sign a DH there is no one to backup the IF other than Vizquel. Hopefully I'm making sense here. EDIT: If we are going with 6 man bullpen than, we can still sign a DH and Nix stays on the roster as the second IF backup.

I'm completely uneducated on this subject, but is it common for major league players to play in Winter League? (Rios, Garcia) Is it a way of them to come back to form, does the organization send them or is it up to the player?
