  1. This is gonna backfire. They should be pitching to AR. Tank is gonna hurt them...
  2. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 09:32 PM) PK terrible running on the bases. Agreed. Play was in front of him. Better hope they score here.
  3. PK with a professional hitters swing. Take what you're given. Beckham should watch PK's at-bats morning noon and night. NOT HIS OWN.
  4. Back-to-back HR games off a lefty for Dunn. Awesome.
  5. LOl. That was a one-armed softball swing. Dude is a donkey.
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) Adam goes deep and then Paulie triples. Adam stikes out then PK doubles.
  7. QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 09:05 PM) Hey the Dbacks DFA'd Ryan Roberts. No doubt he'd give us better AB's than Gordon right now.... Sox need Beckham's defense. Their staff pitches to contact A LOT.
  8. QUOTE (Butter Parque @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 09:04 PM) Obviously there's been some luck to it, not a lot of pitchers throw up a 2 ERA, but he also throws strikes consistently, plays behind a very good defense, lets his fielders make plays, and has a really good cutter that he's not afraid to throw inside, as well as some pretty good moxie for a pitcher his age. Anyone who doesn;t know that they're seeing a pretty good young pitcher is nuts. +1
  9. Beckham's timing is just awful. He's starting late and he's in his own head. Very little chance he recovers anytime soon.
  10. Kenny wants Josh Johnson and he makes so much more sense than Greinke, IMO. A front line pitcher is gonna cost off the current MLB roster. As much as I like him, I'd deal a package around Reed in a second for a difference-maker. Reed is a good fit for MIA right now. Myers can and probably should close this pennant race for the Sox. Something like: Reed Santiago B prospect for Josh Johnson + cash
  11. QUOTE (Sockin @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 01:00 PM) Not getting my hopes up but JJ would look damn good here. Josh Johnson likely gonna cost Viciedo+Jones+quality prospect right now.
  12. QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 11:52 AM) This will not go well... He could no hit them again. Or at the very least it will be a dominant start. This could be his last chance to make an impression and get traded to a contender so he'll wanna pitch his ass off and he's owned the Sox in the past. Just so much could go wrong tonight, I'm afraid to watch... But I will anyway. All they can hope is Liriano walks the yard.
  13. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 08:25 AM) They'll be back in first within a few weeks. Agreed.
  14. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 08:11 AM) Floyd vs liriano? already seen this movie SPOILER: the ending sucked If you guys are hoping for a team turnaround, you'll have to wait at least another game...
  15. The end? Not even close. There is a ton of baseball left to be played.
  16. This team is so swept. You cannot have two teams in any more diametrically opposed trajectories than these two right now. It's the ebb and flow of a baseball season and the Sox are on the wrong end of it right now.
  17. Anybody else have an awful feeling about these next two games...?
  18. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 11:33 PM) Or..."Look at this....is that sweet or what?" But honestly, no one can answer this. We just have to be patient. Remember when people were honestly weighing his chances at .400? I told them to calm down, he will probably end up around .320 this year. And presto, it happened. As the old saying in sports go.... "When you are going good, you aren't good as you think you are, and when you are going bad, you aren't as bad as you think you are." People and players get too caught up in the highs and lows, when the middle is usually where they will end up anyway. It's not just a slump. There is more wrong than just that.
  19. A shadow of his former self for weeks now.
  20. Was told KW chasing a certain MIA pitcher and it ain't Sanchez or MB56...
  21. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 03:41 PM) They've been doing it a lot less recently. I had no problem with going with the bunt there, we were playing for one run and having guys at second and third greatly increases our chance of scoring. With Escobar hitting for Konerko?
  22. Prediction: Sox held scoreless this inning. Walk-off Royals win.
  23. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 03:39 PM) Who do we run out there to close this thing out? Reed has been shaky at best lately Reed is the closer. He's pitching the 9th.
