  1. https://www.soxmachine.com/2019/10/04/first-look-at-post-surgery-michael-kopech-is-a-good-one/
  2. Kopech is fine and it hasn't been "30 months". He worked up to and threw a completely dominant inning and touched 102mph/100mph/101mph just last March in a competitive spring start in AZ. If you don't believe me Passan just stated he's heard nothing but very good things about his work this winter. Kopech is good.
  3. Stone has always been right? He recently stopped just short of announcing Hinch as the next manager on Twitter (unless TLR was an MLB catcher at some point in his career..)...and if you wanna believe the guy who was was dragged and shamed on Twitter into freezing his account at the trade deadline last season for being wrong about everything ...knock yourself out. He didn't have the Dunning trade more than anybody else in the know but he is the guy that sent half a transaction to Passan who confirmed he received a DM.
  4. I'm not the world's biggest Eaton fan but he's a productive player that plays his ass off and wants to win every game. He was far down the list of toxic douchebag offenders on that 2016 team starting with Frazier, Latos, Sale, LaRoche, Lawrie and Rollins..etc. It's a wonder they didn't kill each other while Ventura was surfing his phone in his office.
  5. Ventura was fired (er stepped down), Sale traded, purge ignited. Eaton wasn't the worst part of that disaster. Not even close.
  6. If you can't get along with Jose there's plenty wrong with you. Guy's a saint. Also, Eaton can be a tool but he's not a "cancer". Not even close. Has his guys and keeps to himself mostly.
  7. What is means is if you have a choice which of them to start a playoff game in 2021 you don't choose Dunning.
  8. Except when it mattered most. He was barreled more and more as teams could see his stuff. Sox fans will claim "tired arm and misuse" but he couldn't pitch one scoreless inning when he had to. Facts.
  9. "Lots of" history is also littered with far more guys exactly like Dunning that didn't reach their ceiling and peaked in their first few starts and were soon relegated to journeymen and hung on for a few back end rotation / bullpen seasons. There is nothing special about Dunning. If you can get a proven horse like Lynn for him you do it in a heartbeat.
  10. The amount of over-valuing of unproven, best case ceiling #3 Dane Dunning in this thread is astounding but not suprising.
  11. They're not gonna trade Kelley unless it's a haul back. He's got a chance to be an elite pitching prospect in a year or two. Gio has approached Buehrle status within the organization. Every effort will be made to extend him ASAP.
  12. Rick talked to Hinch more than once FWIW
  13. I didn't watch the presser but that's the primary reason RR and Cooper were fired. I'm sure he told RH/KW he's open to it. They're not gonna scrap the organization's entire in game analytics model for a favor hire to Reinsdorf.
  14. Obviously Rick has been publically undermined. This isn't his hire but the real concern is the intent with the next manager was to further infuse FO analytics into the actual in-game decisions and TLR likely isn't down for that. He said he will be but there are real doubts. That's the real tension here.
  15. Doesn't always come through me but it's on here all the time and those posters know who they are. You keep asking this. It really bothers you doesn't it? OK uh...the Sox are NOT hiring La Russa to manage the team. Is that what you want to hear? ?
  16. By signing Keuchel and not kidnapping Wheeler with the highest ransom?
  17. Not it's not. I'm not here calling you a liar but this is simply not accurate. It's not been offered and may never be.
