  1. Maybe three SS's in MLB make that play by Alexei.
  2. Oz better turn Martinez the hell around to hit RH'd damnit. He has a totally rested bullpen.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 16, 2011 -> 05:19 PM) Not even close to squaring up a fastball. I typed that before he struck out there, BTW...good lord.
  4. The game is coming up in the 8th inning boys... EJ here's a tip, don't groove a slider down and in to Cabrera, K?
  5. Should Dunn just start the game with 2 Ks in his linescore?!
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 16, 2011 -> 05:15 PM) Well, Gordon's fought to get his average all the way back to .249. Wish Dunn could just get to .199, wonder what abysmally-low average he'll end up with? Jackson with an amazing (for him) 79 pitches through 7 innings. Does Guillen pull him against V-Mart if Ordonez/Cabrera reach?? Don't like to face him from the left-hand side if you can turn him around. No. I think Ozzie leaves him him for the shutout. Could use 2 of those non-runs to make it 4-0 though.
  7. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 16, 2011 -> 05:12 PM) It's not just you. Such a tired topic. The guy had the same demeanor when he was a stud this time last season.
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 16, 2011 -> 05:12 PM) It's not just you. Such a tired topic. The guy had the same demeanor when he was a stud this time last season.
  9. Cost us a run. That hamburgers call better not come back to kill us dammit.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 16, 2011 -> 05:05 PM) You've got to be kidding me. 2 runs wasted on dumb base running. Beckham did NOT leave early. BS CALL!
  11. Rios hitting behind TCQ right now I'd a f'n disgrace Move AJ UP FOR GODS SAKE.
  12. "Calls are coming in" about Edwin Jackson, and the White Sox will have the rotation depth to move him once John Danks returns from the disabled list. @SI_JonHeyman
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 14, 2011 -> 08:36 AM) If you can clear out Rios's contract, you don't care who you put in CF this year, that spot is fillable with developmental people if you do a full rebuild or a FA bandaid next year. Personally I'd still like to see De Aza and the Stealth Elf get regular playing time to see what they can do. Anybody that thinks we can lose Rios at this point is on crack.
  14. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 07:40 PM) Lets see if the Sox can continue this tonight...theres no reason to not score ten or more tonight...you have a struggling starter and an awful bullpen. DON'T. STOP. NOW. BOYS Not how these guys work. Very likely no more runs tonight. Which may be OK as the Sox pitching is certainly good enough to take this game.
  15. And once again it's time for all of Chicago media to stoke the fires of infatuation for the Twins franchise, disregarding of course that they have been an awful baseball team this season...
  16. How will the Amazing Chen mystify our hitters this time? I say he's gonna go 7.0, giving up 1 run on 3 hits. How many Hawkaroo "couldn't do anything with it" will we hear today?! Seriously this is an important game in the scheme of this season.
  17. ROYALS (34-50, 11-26 away) Maier - LF .311 Cabrera - CF .283 Butler - DH .298 Francoeur - RF .262 Hosmer - 1B .274 Pena - C .248 Moustakas - 3B .290 Escobar - SS .253 Getz - 2B .263 Francis - LHP (3-9, 4.79 ERA) SOX (42-43, 19-20 home) Lillibridge - LF .257 Morel - 3B .253 Dunn - DH .165 Konerko - 1B .317 Quentin - RF .253 Ramirez - SS .275 Rios - CF .218 Castro - C .222 Beckham - 2B .241 Buehrle - LHP (6-5, 3.65 ERA) Why the hell is Dunn in the lineup batting 3rd against a LHP?!
  18. Holy crap K.C. can hit. Up and down that lineup there are actual hitters numbers that Sox fans can only dream of.
  19. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 06:24 PM) Road to 88 wins for the Sox, Tigers, and Indians: Sox (46-31) Cle 7-6 Det 7-5 KC 10-6 Min 8-6 Bal 3-1 Bos 2-1 NY 2-2 Tor 2-1 LAA 1-1 Sea 2-1 Tex 2-1 Indians (44-36) Chi 6-7 Det 6-6 KC 6-3 Min 8-5 Bal 2-2 Bos 2-2 NY 2-1 Tor 2-2 LAA 2-1 Oak 2-2 Sea 3-2 Tex 3-3 Tigers (43-34) Chi 5-7 Cle 6-6 KC 9-4 Min 8-5 Bal 5-2 TB 2-2 LAA 3-4 Oak 3-3 Tex 2-1 Hopefully the Sox exceed and the Indians and Tigers fall below, but this is kind of a realistic breakdown of the remaining opponents for each team. Totally realistic. The Sox have been playing just below that clip for weeks now with guys far underperforming on offense.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 05:46 PM) Carlos Pena's last month disagrees. Not against LHP.
  21. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 05:45 PM) Do you put MT out there after 20 pitches? I guess so, since no one else was warming up? No doubt. Ozzie is super-protective over that bullpen. I still warm up a RH safety net.
  22. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 05:44 PM) Thornton threw 20 pitches last inning I do not like him going in the ninth. Ramirez is the threat coming up.
  23. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 05:43 PM) How can we continue to go with Dunn? Looks like Thornton will be going for the save in the 9th, as Sergio has pitched in 3 straight. Against Ramirez, Pena and Byrd. Strap on your seat belts. As someone mentioned, you have to insert Lillibridge defensively for Dunn or Ozzie should be suspended for 10 games for dereliction of duty. Seat belts is right. We all know these games at Wrigley have insane finishes...
