  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:39 PM) Why do you guys worry about everything? See: Jenks 24 hours ago.
  2. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:39 PM) Like I said he really had no choice who to use. And it's not a 1 run lead . So he has room to work with. Have to start using him sooner or later. Might've made sense to have him throw more than once though.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:37 PM) I actually think he'll pitch better from the stretch than the wind-up. He did have his hammer last night, though.
  4. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:35 PM) They're pretty careful about how they use Sergio. Still don't think he's pitched in back to back games yet. And Bobby's control is not there yet. Brilliant Oz. Just brilliant.
  5. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:34 PM) Bobby in. "Here comes the boom".
  6. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:33 PM) We need Tyler Flowers to be good cause AJ sucks and I can't stand another year of him. But he "puts down those numbers better than any other catcher in the game". -The numbers coming from the bench.
  7. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:32 PM) Could have used Sergio in the 7th or 8th and held Matt back. I think Ozzie has actually forgotten lately how good Mr. Santos has been. I assumed he was unavailable tonight. The fact that he's warming tells me he absolutely should have thrown the 7th to save Putz for the 9th.
  8. Good Lord, AJ is livin off balance at the plate these days. He looks awful.
  9. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:29 PM) Both Bobby and Sergio warming in the pen. Nice. Santos got a save last night...I get it, but that's weird.
  10. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:27 PM) What other choice does he have ? Well he probably could of thrown Bobby in the 7th, Thornton in the 8th and Putz in the 9th, no?
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:24 PM) Great location on the 0-2 pitch! Jenks time in the 9th...hide the women and children! Ozzie is really gonna throw Bobby tonight in the 9th? REALLY?
  12. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:22 PM) They do, but Thornton's fastball is even tougher to hit because of his easy motion, it really sneaks up on the hitters. And then, when he does throw his mediocre slider in the right situation, the hitters have no chance. I think he hides the ball really well also. Hunter is a BIG out here...the game is right now.
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:17 PM) I'm not happy to see Matt in the 8th tonight. As a hitter, how do you not sit dead red for high heat against Thornton? It's what he does like 99.9% of the time.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:17 PM) I'm not happy to see Matt in the 8th toniggt Agreed.
  15. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:14 PM) Many on the board said the same thing including me about playing 1st base and said it long ago too. But what the hell, he's 21 and with a lot of time to improve I'd like to see him stick at 3rd and see how good he can get . Plenty of time to switch to 1st. The best thing so far is he's aggressive at third. He doesn't lay back and hope for a happy short hop like Teahen and Nix did this year and Becks did last season.
  16. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:08 PM) I have to question if Alexei has any idea what he is doing tonight at bat. Rios does. Sox love those 2 out RBIs lately.
  17. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:05 PM) Nice. Becks needs to head down to The Char. Contact play called for The Tank. Nice work there Oz.
  18. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:04 PM) Beckham's Lillibridge voodoo doll is not working. 3 minutes ago via API Nice. Becks needs to head down to The Char.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:02 PM) Do you guys realize what the odds of us winning this game were in the second inning when Jake came out? Against Weaver? This would be a really nice win for us... True 'dat.
  20. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:00 PM) lol, obviously he hasn't learned how to properly tape his socks up. I assume most players now a days don't tape their socks up, but rather just pull their pants up. There's a certain way to do it, pretty simple really. Fullproof. Guess they roll 'em different in Cuba these days....(insert weed joke here)
  21. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:00 PM) And still just a baby. 21 right ? FRODO ON FIRE!
  22. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:57 PM) Nice hit Dayan . I like this kid ! Born to hit, that big dude is.
  23. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:56 PM) That Andruw Jones is a great player! Now get your 400th so we can DFA you already! HA. LOL. You're awesome.
  24. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:49 PM) Make-up call. Love/Hate it. I'd rather have 3 runs...
