Nomar Mazara was the worst qualified OF against LHP last year with a 55 wRC+. You know who would have been a perfect platoon for him since that's really all he can be trusted for?......Hunter Renfroe, who I wanted before he got traded to the Rays. 139 wRC+ career vs. LHP. Sigh...

Last year he nearly acquired Pederson who also had 2 years left. Now Pederson only had 1 year left and we again heard they had discussions. When he said no quick bumps, I assumed he meant 1 year deals. Morton has 1 year left, plus a club option for 2021. That's even better than 2 years guaranteed.

Speaking of the Rays, I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but I would love to see the Sox look in to what the Rays would want for Charlie Morton. Had a Cy Young type season last year, but is old and only has 2 years left, so I could see the Rays be willing to sell high on him. I wonder if they could work out a package around Reynaldo Lopez and a couple prospects.

I used to actually take Monday through Wednesday off work for the winter meetings every year. Last year was the first year that I didn't do it because they had become stale over the last couple years prior.

I don't read Barstool, but assuming that's what you're referring to, they don't have a paywall as far as I know. Obviously traffic matters though. So if he doesn't want to be vague on a "free forum", he can be vague on post on Barstool and then post the link here to generate 100+ or whatever clicks. It's really not that serious.
