I love the idea of having Billy Hamilton off the bench for speed and defense. And starting him and Robert in the same outfield would do wonders for Eloy in LF, removing at least 20% of the area he needs to cover.

I adore watching Trubisky play QB. It's the entertainment level I need on a hungover Sunday.

Why though? What reliable data do we have on pitchers to have any clue how to evaluate their defense without actually watching a bulk of the few chances they get in a given month?

I don't agree. I think we all thought pretty highly of him until that LaRoche shit, and then we especially liked him again when he returned us a monster package back in a trade.

The Force Awakens was good. Rogue One was good. Solo was decent. The Last Jedi was the only trash one so far of the newest 4.

We can certainly do better than Ozuna in RF, but I wouldn't upset if we signed him to a 3-4 year deal and he was our 3rd or 4th best addition this off-season. He's an acceptable complimentary piece in an otherwise much larger off-season IMO.

I don't think you are following the conversation correctly. I said we are already trained to expect to settle for consolation prizes like Wheeler and Ozuna, even though both of them would be instant upgrades. You disagreed, apparently, that Ozuna is a better player than....*checks notes*....Ryan Cordell.

Not exactly sure why we are using batting average, especially half a season's worth, to judge a player, but Ozuna hit .219 in the 2nd half. Also saw his BB% spike to 14% and his K% fall slightly. Not to say he had a good 2nd half, but using one empty metric to make the decision is strange. He's a 2.5-3 fWAR guy. We haven't had an OF break even 2.0 fWAR in either of the last 2 seasons.

Probably the reason why most Sox fans are just aiming for Zach Wheeler right out of the gate. Wheeler and Ozuna are the type of consolation prizes we are used to, despite them both still being instant upgrades for this team.
