  1. FInally lost this week. Was projected to score 118, which would have won it for me, but Mahomes, Kelce, Cook, Howard, Cowboys D....all underperformed. Oh well, no one got hurt and the other guy who was also 5-0 lost as well. I'm just glad that Chark and Gordon didn't have good weeks either, so making that trade didn't cost me this week.
  2. So then maybe he goes from a Josh Donaldson comp to a Nicholas Castellanos comp. 25 HR, 40-60 doubles, .280+ average, but walks a bit more than Castellanos. That's still a 3+ WAR from a bat-only player. I'm ok with that from our...what....5th best position player in the line-up?
  3. I thought El Camino was good, but not great. I don't think I would say I was disappointed, but I would say I was expecting something different. Without spoiling anything, I'll just say it's entirely about Jesse and doesn't really dive in to anything broader about the other characters. I guess I wanted to know about the aftermath of Walt's legacy and not just Jesse on the run.
  4. Well, they got 2 shots to get a TOR in Cole and Strasburg. And then if you are looking at the trade market, maybe some names like Sonny Gray, Marco Gonzales, or Joe Musgrove would be available as #2-#3 type starters to give us depth.
  5. I'm trying to plow through the 5th season of Breaking Bad right now before El Camino comes out. I'm hosting a watch party at my house Friday night. I'm pretty damn pumped.
  6. Just got offered LeVeon Bell for Travis Kelce. I would still have Evan Engram at TE, but he's currently hurt. Not sure if I should pull the trigger while Engram's health is in question.
  7. No, I took that to mean as long as the Sox spend a ton of money, don't complain that it wasn't all spent on one guy.
  8. Could still be vetoed. It's a 12 team league and requires 6 of those other 10 teams to vote no. This trade was offered to me, by the way. I had given up trying to get Cook from that owner. ?
  9. Well.....I guess I won't be playing Chark this week afterall...I just traded him away. I didn't wait for this guy to back out again on the trade. I accepted it immediately. Thoughts? I get: Dalvin Cook and Travis Kelce I trade away: Melvin Gordon, DJ Chark, Payton Barber, Jimmy Graham With Evan Engram out for me right now, Kelce will slot in to my TE this week, and Cook will replace Gordon obviously. Then I can use Engram when he gets healthy to trade for a better RB2 than Montgomery.
  10. Oh, and I guess I'll finally have to play Chark. lol. Going to roll with Evans, Jones, and Chark as my FLEX. Fitzgerald and Sanders on my bench.
  11. I decided to not play Melvin last week and that proved to be the difference as I would have lost otherwise. Snuck by with a 4 point winner. I had no business winning this week, considering I had the 2nd lowest score in the league. Thanks, Evans and Julio Jones. 5-0 going in to this week with a banged up Mahomes, Engram, and will have to rely on Melvin Gordon with Montgomery on a bye week.
  12. Oh shit, it is? Thanks for the heads up! ? PS: Check about 5 posts above yours.
  13. Search function. It's a pretty cool new feature.
  14. I guess I'll play along and say Burger is someone I'm curious to see next season.
  15. I will reserve my choices until next ST because of trades, and developments in the off-season or ST for some of these guys. This thread is way too early, IMO.
  16. They were linked to him, and a few of us really wanted him, but that was for pick #26, not #10. Lux went 20th to LAD. Jim Callis had Lux mocked to the Sox at #26 in his final mock.
  17. Well that would have been a pretty fucking kick ass trade. Rodon DID end up getting hurt again and completely tanking his value. Ruiz missed some time this year, but continued to improve his plate discipline, yet again trimming his already great K rate from 8% down to about 6.5%. Also, his BB rate jumped again from 6.3% to just under 9%. 30 BB to 22 K on the year in mostly AA, but a cup of coffee in AAA. Switch hitter, still only 21. With the Dodgers getting a great impact from Will Smith coming up, I think Ruiz should be targeted yet again this offseason as well for the Sox. As for Gavin Lux.....well, we all know what that dude did. Was named the 2019 minor league player of the year by Baseball America and is now on his way to a World Series appearance with the Dodgers, hitting a HR in his first career postseason AB.
  18. Removing Abreu... I'll go ahead and say it will be a RP. Daniel Hudson. Come on home, son.
  19. He could have pitched for the Sox in September, but they didn't feel it was necessary to ramp it up to major league action and then just shut him back down after a few weeks. He will be more than ready by February.
  20. Only if it grants some sort of extension window. Don't do the 2018 idea of trading for him to "pitch him for a year" and then sign him as a FA. So in other words...never going to happen.
  21. I ended up sneaking by because Will Lutz hit 4 FG against my Cowboys. 4-0, and projected for 113 pts this week, which is a TON. And that's without playing Melvin Gordon, who is projected to outscore both my starting RB.
  22. He's at 3.7 now, so he'd have to have a helluva last 3 games. Need a couple of dingers and at least 6 or 7 hits.
  23. Or how about both Anderson AND Giolito. ? Oh, and Moncada at a 5+ fWAR.
