  1. I'm not sure what Luis Robert in CF has to do with acquiring a RF? How does Robert make Laureano redundant? And I think Nimmo would be a very interesting buy-low candidate. Not too dissimilar to the idea of buying Pederson from the Dodgers last off-season.
  2. Damn, was there already discussion about Nimmo in this thread before my post? I honestly haven't read any of the 15 pages.
  3. Assuming most of the obvious picks are already mentioned 15 pages in....here are some trade possibilities at least... -- See what the Marlins would give up for 3B/RF Brian Anderson. He's turning in his 2nd straight 3+ fWAR season. His defensive numbers are above average at both 3B and RF. He's got a big arm. Of course, he also has 4 years of control left for the 26-year-old, so the Marlins not only have no reason to trade him, but his price tag would likely be high despite ending his 2019 season with a broken finger. -- Brandon Nimmo would be an interesting bounce-back, buy-low guy. He profiles offensively to a Zack Collins with less power, but more contact. Dude walked 15% last year and 19.6% this year. That's the highest of anyone in baseball with at least 150 PA. Funny enough, Zack Collins also has walked 19.6% this year, except Collins has a 43.1% K rate to Nimmo's 29.6%, and Nimmo is hitting .099 points higher. Nimmo is a LHH, should be available in that crowded OF in NYM, and has 3 years of control left. Shouldn't be that hard to acquire. -- Absolutely 0 reason for the A's to trade Ramón Laureano, but they are so fucking goofy in the way they are ran, maybe they would move him for a package around someone like Reynaldo Lopez + Steele Walker + others.
  4. 1-0 so far. I missed out on Bernard and Waller on the waiver wire. Currently have a waiver claim in for the Bills defense, which was dropped this week for some reason.
  5. Asheville was a funky as town. Tons of hippies. Girl at the wedding who used to live near Seattle said it reminded her heavily of Portland.
  6. Tied for the 2nd WC spot with Milwaukee, and Mets/Phillies are both 2 GB. Yikes.
  7. MLB Pipeline did a "Let's project what our top 10 might look like 1 year from now" and they had Vaughn as the #4 prospect in baseball being Franco, Rutschman, and Witt Jr.
  8. Nah. Hurricane didn't affect Charlotte whatsoever.
  9. Hmm ok. Will have to be a game time decision for me. They are projected for the same amount right now.
  10. 5 HR is a solid day. I had one day a couple of weeks ago in my semi-final round where I had either 11 or 12 HR. I had 2 HR games from Yelich, Alvarez, Story, and Muncy I think. Plus Realmuto, Turner, Eloy, and Aquino.
  11. Guice or Howard as my RB2 this week in 0.5 PPR. Right now I've got Howard in there.
  12. Or not.....will arrive in Charlotte tomorrow. Cool.
  13. I just installed motorized blinds in our big front window. It's preeeeetty sweet.
  14. I'm about ready to jump off a bridge if they blow this.
  15. I fucked up when I started doing my bench, forgetting I took 2 studs at WR, so I ended up taking Emmanuel Sanders and Fitzgerald, when I could have taken Eckler and Pollard respectively. I really wanted Eckler too, but I was reading so many glowing things about how Sanders has looked and I got sidetracked when I saw his name still there at the top of the board. But other than that, I really like my squad. I feel like I'm obviously light on the RB front, but I could end up with the best QB, best K, top 2 defense, 2 top 10 WRs, top 3 TE. I'm feeling pretty good even if it means I will have to start snagging RBs off the waiver wire. That's always been my strategy anyway.
  16. I was really hoping Kelce would be there at #9 for me, but Kelce went #1!! This is of course after 12 keepers, so he really went like #13, but still, guys like James Connor, David Johnson, Hopkins, and Thomas were all still there. I ended up with Julio Jones at #9. Other guys right at that pick were Mixon, Tyreek Hill, James White, Thielen. This is my squad.... 17. Welp, Verlander redeemed himself by throwing a 14K no-hitter. Scored 47(!!) points. And I STILL won the Championship by more than 100. ?? 2-time defending champ now. My 3rd win in 4 year. The league has been around since 2013. 2013 - 5th 2014 - 1st 2015 - 9th (LAST!) 2016 - 1st 2017 - 4th 2018 - 1st 2019 - 1st Prize is only $150, but we also award $25 per MVP/CY Young. So I might get another $25 from Yelich or Freeman.
  18. Yea, but I doubt Thomas will be there for me at #9 in this keeper league because I have the 9th pick AFTER an entire round of keepers. Hell, Thomas might even be a keeper. Whoever I get at #9 will probably be someone that goes around 15+ in most drafts, that's why I'm looking to do a custom mock where I can remove the keeper selections
  19. Does anyone by chance pay for any of those premium mock draft websites? I have the #9 pick in my 12 team league, and I'm just trying to figure out who I should be looking at taking at #9 and #16 based on what keepers will be gone. We only do 1 keeper and everyone HAS to take a keeper. So some of the top 9 picks in a regular mock will obviously be taken ready. Any "custom mock draft" sites I've seen that let you add in keepers require a subscription. Anyone know of a free one or have a subscription that can run a mock for me?
  20. Oh shit, I was wondering why he got removed after like 5 1/3 and not even close to 100 pitches. Phew!
  21. Verlander only earned him 13 points. He averages 20+. And Archie Bradley has 3 straight games with a save. Today he had a 4 GS advantage today over my 1 GS, and he still only gained 10 points on me. Things are looking better and better by the day, especially since he currently has injuries to Ketel Marte, Benintendi, Pence, and Gregorious. Everything is coming up Milhouse!
  22. Wait, is this a thing? He changed his swing when he got sent back down? I have been extremely busy with the new house and haven't been following the minors or this website as much as I normally do recently.
  23. I'm in my Championship right now. It's 2 weeks long. We are on the 8th day and I currently have a 63 point lead. He's got a 1 start advantage assuming we both use our remaining transactions on streaming SPs. I'm feeling pretty good as long as my guys just hit their average PPG and I don't have any massive pitcher blow ups. What scares me is that he has 2 Verlander starts left this week. That could be 50+ points right there.
  24. I bought Charlotte Knights playoff game tickets for September 4th. We are sitting 2nd row behind the Knight's dugout. I'm very excited to see Robert and Madrigal up close.
