You never said "All of these guys will sign extensions and won't be available", and even if you did say that, UNTIL it happened, it was shaping up to be a very good class. It's turning in to mediocre NOW, but you don't get to pat yourself on the back for pretending that Cole, Sale, Goldschmidt, Bogearts, Rendon, Martinez, Verlander, Bumgarner, Ozuna, Grandal, and Gennett is not a great class.

Speaking of home buying, anyone have an opinion of home insurance? I was thinking of using State Farm, since they also do my car insurance, but I am also getting a new car soon and will be shopping around for quotes for my new car too. State Farm quoted me at $110/mo for the new car, but I'm hoping I can do better elsewhere.

Big 1/3 pound Costco hotdogs, home made fries with cheese, chocolate covered pretzels, and brownies. Also bought us each a bag of Big League Chew and box of crackerjacks. It was pretty adorable. We all take the day off work to celebrate.

In the same neighborhood as the house we just got, we got screwed over by the seller lying to us and telling us there were no showings, and we would be the first people to see the place the following day, only to find out they DID have showings the night before, and even accepted an offer from those showings before we even had a chance to see the place. So my girlfriend is still salty about it and keeps trying to compare our place to that other house, even though we never even saw it, it was "perfect" in her mind based off the pictures.

As others have said, I don't expect him or Madrigal to be there very long. I would imagine they are both in AA by May. Maybe get rewarded with a cup of coffee in Charlotte at the end of the year if they both stay healthy.

I'm hoping all this internal smoke around Jimmy Lambert plays out and he can sort of fill in for the "Solid but not TOR" Dane Dunning role. In the 1 time I saw Lambert pitch, and it was this ST, he reminded of Jon Garland. Hopefully he can play that type of role.

I'm not happy, but I'm not upset that it fell through. We heard rumors about Laz Rivera being included we heard another rumor about Rutherford being included. This team isn't going anywhere in 2019, and Joc Pederson won't put us over the top for 2020 either. No big deal after you lose out on Machado/Harper and then Dunning gets TJS. The timeline is going the wrong direction.

Any idea when the minor league teams set their rotation order? In order for me to see Cease pitch when I am down in Indy in April, I need him to be their #3 or #4 starter. I'm hoping they let Adams and Stephens take those top 2 spots? I don't know how much minor league teams "reward" their returning starters over the pitchers who are newly added to their roster.

Wow, this Cal Bears closer, Sabouri, he is nasty. He made Adley look AWFUL in the 9th inning with his nasty sliders. Threw a slider that dove down at his feet and made Adley flail at it. Then struck out the last batter with another slider in the dirt to secure the save and the upset victory.

Yup. I'm crushed. I hate the Red Sox, and seeing him go in to the Hall of Fame with the Red Sox and have his White Sox years completely forgotten make me sick. At least if he went to another team and didn't win another WS, he would have still likely gone in to the HoF as a White Sox player. I'm so disappointed.
