Chris Sale Promoted to Majors
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to TheChrisSamsa's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Comcast Sports Net reported tonight that Sale was promoted, and Torres was sent down, but I have yet to see any mention of it here.... ??? Maybe it just hasn't been announced officially yet. But hell of a game to see tomorrow if EJax and Sale make their debuts on the same night. -
I saw Inception tonight, and for the past 2+ hours I have been trying to solve it. My friend and I keep texting eachother back and forth feeding ideas off eachother. I think I got it pretty much solved after watching some vids on youtube.

Teahen cleared for baseball activity...
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
And today is exactly why I wanted to see Buehrle or Jackson on 4-days rest vs. Orioles than see Torres pitch vs. Detroit..... Ugh. -
2/3 with a HR, 4 RBI for Morel. Teahen only had 2 AB before Morel replaced him at 3B. Not sure why Teahen was replaced so early.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 09:19 AM) Jackson has pretty good mechanics from what I see. He keeps his PAS elbow below his lead elbow through his whole delivery. The height of the lead elbow does have a lot to do with control and I like how he pointed that out in the article. Not exactly the same frame in his delivery and not exactly the same angles, but I think his lead elbow is a higher in Detroit. I think that just has to do with the pictures being taken at different points in delivery. I think had he been more progressed in his wind-up, like in the Dbacks picture, his lead elbow would be lower because he is going forward and down with his body. I think they would end up about the same. The one thing I DO notice is the positioning of his lead foot. He seems to be point his lead toe on the Dbacks (Thus, having a more open spread on the stride) vs. the picture on the Tigers where his foot is more pointed on the 3B side of the plate (And maybe throwing more across his body).

AAP: Andy Wilkins
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to ChiliIrishHammock24's topic in Adopt-a-Prospects - Closed
Wilkins blasting a HR for team USA back in 2009. He has a very powerful looking stroke, and finishes his swing pretty smooth. -
Full Name: Andrew Wilkins Born: 09/13/1988 Birthplace: Broken Arrow, OK College: Arkansas Height: 6' 2" Weight: 225 Bats: L Throws: R Andy Wilkins was drafted in the 5th RD of the 2010 MLB Draft, and was the first White Sox position player that was drafted in 2010. Wilkins was previously drafted out of High School by the Texas Rangers in the 25th round, but declined to go play for Arkansas. Andy Wilkins is current playing in rookie ball for the White Sox in Great Falls. Playing a bit above his level, he is expected to do very well and it shouldn't take long for him to earn a promotion to Kannapolis.

Andy Wilkins continues to rake... He went 3/4 with a 2B, HR, RBI, and a BB. AVG up to .341 with .431 OBP, and an outstanding .992 OPS. This dude is out performing the competition by a lot. 16 BB to 12 K is nice.

I went to my friends house tonight for Last Comic Standing, and found out that The Club episodes ARE indeed on Comcast On Demand. So we watch the first 2 episodes. He is not a Sox fan, but I convinced him to watch them because I knew they would have footage of Dan Hudson, Santos, and Barret Loux (He is a Dbacks fan somehow). It was a little boring w/ how much they focused on Ozzie. I wanted to see more interaction of players in the dugout, during games, and in the locker room having fun and talking. I know the show is about the management and front office, but I think less of Ozzie and Kenny and Jerry/Selig would have been more exciting. I really loved Coop in it though, he had some good jokes about Ozzie tweeting and Jeff Cox as the 3B general.

I would like to thank Don Cooper for really rasing my hopes about Jackson, and feeling less pessimistic about the trade of Hudson. I'm really pumped for Wednesday night.
