  1. If you have never been to hittrackeronline.com, I advise you do. It's a pretty cool site that tracks homerun distances. Anyway, the Sox have been hitting a lot of HR, but not many bombs. And the sad thing is, look at who is at the top of our "distance HRs"..... Mark Kotsay - 439 feet (5/17) Brent Lillibridge - 428 (6/9) Then we finally get to Rios and Konerko who matched each other with 421 shots..... and then.... Alexei Ramirez - 420 feet Donny Lucy - 419 feet Nothing to make of this, it's just sort of interesting that 4 of our top 6 furthest HR were hit by non-HR hitters and guys that barely weigh more than 150 pounds. PS: Jason Heyward has the furthest HR this year at 476 that he hit on opening day vs. the Cubs in his first major league AB.
  2. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 16, 2010 -> 02:31 PM) Funny you quote a college student when you say that... Well if he is a college kid, then he should have a good understanding for Chappelle show references.
  3. Does Bristol and Great Falls start their season sometime this month? And is it usually just filled with the draftees?
  4. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 16, 2010 -> 11:03 AM) I don't know. He's really pushing this nickname and it doesn't make a lot of sense to most of us. You guys are so old! lol.
  5. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 16, 2010 -> 12:15 AM) Dayan is beasting, right now. HoT FiRe
  6. Awesome that Petricka, Reed, and Royce all signed already. Let's get those guys in the system as soon as possible.
  7. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 08:19 PM) I would like to see Bobby Jenks hit. Just once. I bet he is the Prince Fielder of pitchers batting.
  8. Gordon Beckham was Mr. Big Bopper High Chopper.
  9. Without looking at numbers, I would be willing to bet that Peavy leads the team in HR allowed, which is a pretty easy way to jack up your ERA without hurting your BAA or WHIP that much.
  10. Brent at SS? WTH? I wonder if it's just a way to keep him in the lineup, or if they are actually considering him at SS.
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 03:41 PM) Daniel Tosh stand up tickets go on presale tomorrow morning. Show is in November at the Chicago Theater. We saw him at the Congress about a year ago and he was hysterically funny. (Wasn't sure where else to put this) Don't remind me. I had tickets to that, 2nd row nonetheless, but I had to sell them because my high school decided to schedule our senior banquet on the same night.
  12. Just watched the finale of Breaking Bad last night. It was awesome. Then I watched Rubicon, but I was not impressed. It just confused me, really.
  13. Wilkins is 2-4 so far in a game that is still going on in the 12th inning. His AVG is up to .282 (meh). Ross Wilson was 2-4 with a HR, but 'Bama lost and is out of the CWS. Ross finished with a .274 AVG, 9 HR, and 45 RBI.
  14. QUOTE (maki @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 08:09 PM) Lol, and lou just says in the in-game interview with Morgan that he's gonna start playing Colvin regularly. I laughed at that too. Haha, asshole.
  15. Flowers is not in the lineup today. Good just be one of his regular days off, or maybe Kenny told him to start packing his shiz. Then again, we have an off-day tomorrow anyway, so maybe it's nothing.....
  16. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 02:16 PM) Fixed it. I thought green = sarcasm?
  17. This Leonard Davis guy is giving Huddy problems....He has 2 HR off him already. 4 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 6 K
  18. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 02:08 PM) John was being sarcastic, but he still has to pitch about 3-4 scoreless innings to have a solid outing. He is on pace for another 10 SO game and his peripherals have been outstanding this year (especially since his April struggles) As was I, hence my "TRADE HIM!" comment earlier.
  19. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 01:57 PM) White Sox prospects are not allowed to struggle, they are not allowed any margin of error. Nope, not really. 3 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K
  20. Hud The Stud allowed a 2-run HR following another walk. 2 IP, 1 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 K
  21. Hudson walked the first batter. f***. Trade him!
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 12:11 AM) Amen. The starters are finally doing well. As far as Jenks, I can't wait for the day he actually blows a save. There will be such an epic meltdown. The anger will be melting computers everywhere. Why can't the Jenks haters at least give the man credit when he does his job? There was nothing wrong with that ninth inning except for the walk he gave up in the rain. You people that want perfection must be great employees. Your companies are lucky to have perfect people. I pray you guys get your wish and we trade him. You will see thornton and/or Putz blow their share of saves as well. it's the nature of the closer role. Why fat Bobby brings out the hate in everybody when he coninues on a remarkable career baffles me. There is a different between being sufficient, and being remarkable. Jenks is doing JUST enough to get a save each outing. The only thing remarkable is that he only has 1 blown save.
  23. Kevin Rath lost it for his team. He gave up 2 ER on 1 H and 2 BB with 2 K in 1 IP. He pitched the 10th inning.
  24. Wilkins is 1/3 with a R, and a K. His team is up 5-4 in the 5th.
  25. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 09:00 PM) Oh great, another guy who can't get on base. Don't you piss in my cereal!
