  1. Gavin Sheets rips a nice single to LF opposite way.
  2. Eloy flicks an 0-2 pitch to the warning track in RF. He wasn't even close to squaring that one up.
  3. Kopech's 4th.... - Groundout - Strikeout (change-up, called) - Strikeout (change-up, swinging) 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K Still hasn't had a 3-ball count. Dude is locked in with his command.
  4. I don't think the Red Sox do it. TJS isn't a death sentence anymore.
  5. Leonard makes a nice stab at 3B to keep it scoreless. 3rd inning.... - Single - Flyout - Flyout - Double - Groundout 3 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K I don't think he's had a 3-ball count yet.
  6. The next hitter flew out to RF and then the next guy hit a 2B off the end of his bat that Eloy didn't get to quick enough. Not hard hit.
  7. Leadoff hitter served a single to CF. Kopech threw him a nice 81-mph curveball low and the batter threw his bat at it and flipped it over 2B. Our old friend Mike Olt flew out to CF.
  8. I don't ask because I expect faster, I ask because I remember those saying it was slow, so I was wondering if he's actually sitting at 101-102 or not. 98-99 is perfectly fine. lol
  9. Is Charlotte's TV gun slow? Or just their stadium gun? Because Kopech is sitting at 98-99 right now. 2nd inning - Strikeout - Chopper to 3rd - Strikeout 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K
  10. Wow, Kopech with a filthy curveball to strike out Adam Lind. Might have been a change-up, but it dropped a ton, so I'm not sure.
  11. Eloy with a full-count flare single to RF. He took the first 3 pitches for balls very nicely.
  12. Kopech's 1st... - Single *Caught stealing - strikeout - lineout
  13. This is at least the 2nd time that Garneau has caught for Kopech. I wonder why they wouldn't want him to build a relationship with Zavala, someone he's more likely to be playing with in the majors.
  14. Leadoff single against Kopech. HE'S NOT READY
  15. #14 according to one list I saw today. But IIRC, Mejia has character issues and the Indians were upset with him. So that may have worked out tremendously for the Padres if they don't think it's a concern.
  16. Fried would be a very nice pickup. Jackson has a garbage hit-tool, so I guess it depends on his defense as catcher. If he can be a plus-defensive catcher, I can live with the .230 averages and 20 dingers. Ruiz is kind of....meh. Doesn't excite me. Doesn't move the needle in this much. I think if you can find a way to get Williams Contreras, and then any of their glut of pitchers, you do that deal instead. Bowman, however, seems to think the Braves have pegged Contreras as their catcher of the future though, which may mean they are putting more value in him than others may.
  17. I've had a crush on Stubbs for a couple years now. He was in every trade I tried to put together for Sale and Quintana.
  18. Absolutely. They took quantity over quality. Orioles fucked this up.
  19. Jonathan Lee‏ @followmefor3 Mo Jonathan Lee Retweeted Jonathan Lee #WhiteSox Nicky Delmonico is not here today. He has yet to be activated off the DL, but he isn't here..
  20. So the issue as that they are overly cautious and likely unrealistic. Got it, thanks.
  21. Kyle Young, damn dude, what a deep dive. His peripherals look tasty as fuck.
  22. I don't know, but Baseball America's updated list today agrees. Not a top 100 guy. And to be clear, I assumed he was a slam dunk top 100 guy myself just based on what I thought I had heard about him. But when I looked it up, I saw he wasn't and figured if the Braves happen to agree with those assessments, he should be available for trade if he is truly their 8th best pitching prospect.
