  1. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 31, 2010 -> 10:32 PM) No your right. Can't remember the players name on the Flyers, but he absolutely OWNED him on a drag move that luckally Niemi stopped. Great win for the boys though. 2 more, but we need to at least win one (though 2 would be awesome) at their rink. We did our job winning at home, they are gonna try and do theirs. The good thing about Sopel is that he is a damn human wall out there. He is like a 2nd goalie the way he gets in front of shots. But offensively he makes me cringe. And yes, that drag move on Sopel was soooooo dirty. My brother and I both went "Ohh...holy s***" when he did that.
  2. Niicee! I wonder what my body fat % is, but I am too scared its like 50%! EDIT: I just did a "self body % check" online. Not very sure how accurate it is, but it said I am 23% body fat with 60 pounds of fat, and 199 pounds of lean. SoxFan, mind doing this 5-minute test for me to see how accurate this thing actually is? http://www.healthcentral.com/cholesterol/h...t-2774-143.html EDIT2: I doubt that above test is right. I did 2 other ones on different sites, and they both show me at 34%, which I bet is more accurate for being 5'11, 260 lbs. I do, however, carry most of my weight in my stomach, which is did say can throw off the % a little higher. If I had to guess, I would say I am at about 30%.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 30, 2010 -> 06:00 PM) Free advice from J4L: DO NOT run 90 minutes in 90 degree heat. I literally almost passed out. Hah, thanks. I keep my running to strictly on the eliptical. Going to get my gym membership tomorrow I think. Not sure how often I will go each week though. I work 3 days a week (I'm a college kid, give me a break! hah), and play softball twice a week. I will probably only find myself going 3 times a week or so since I only like to work out at night towards the end of my day, since I take my showers at night. I don't feel like showering at night, working out in the afternoon, showering again, and then showering that night again. So I usually save my working out as my last thing of the day so I can sit around in my own stink for a few hours by myself, and then take a shower and go to bed.
  4. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 31, 2010 -> 11:41 PM) I want to see Morel too, but I'd rather not call him up and then send him back down once Teahen is back. Meh, I'm too selfish.
  5. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 31, 2010 -> 11:20 PM) You'll need to wait another year to watch us ruin him. Yeah I know. I am hoping he can tear up spring training next year and make things a little interesting.
  6. Lillibridge is the obviously encumbent right now, but I really wish this was Morel who was getting his cup of coffee in the majors right now.
  7. Morel. 2-5, 2B, 3 RBI. AVG up to .324. Just biding his time....
  8. Morel went 1-2. AVG at .322 now.
  9. I was just talking to someone about this. It's almost too obvious of a trade for Kenny to make.
  10. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 28, 2010 -> 09:15 AM) What is a shame? The thing about Bradley is you know he has emotional issues but the thing is there are a lot of worse things that people do in baseball...steroids....he seems like he really wants to be a good guy but just can not get through his issues. I actually like the guy. That's a shame, too.
  11. Plan on getting my gym membership next week sometime. I have been doing alright w/o it, but obviously it will help. My weight (as I assume everyone elses) fluctuates a lot throughout the day. I was 255 when I woke up this morning, and about 158 just now before I go to sleep. I guess I could put my current weight at 258 then, which means I have lost 1 pound in the past 2 weeks. Woo! lol. My B-day is June 26th, so it would be nice if I was under 250 by then. That would put me at about 25 pounds in 3 months, which seems pretty decent to me, especially for the fact that I STILL have not changed my diet very much. Still eat junk food and cheeseburgers (less though). I think eliminating my "late night meals" have helped a lot though. I used to stay up until 2-3 AM (like I am now), and then get hungry and go eat some cereal or have a sandwich before bed. Now I just substitute that with a big glass of skim milk, and I think that's helping. Starting Weight (4/7/10) - 272 LB Current Weight (5/28/10) - 258 LB Total Loss: 14 lbs
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 28, 2010 -> 10:41 PM) I love when we beat good teams and look like a good team. Beckham! Cmon, keep breaking out of that slump. Nice job. Rios is a god. All of you who stuck by him last year deserve credit for loyalty and knowing what you are talking about. Freddy! All you can say and great job by the relievers. Can we win again and make it a good road trip? Thanks.
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 28, 2010 -> 09:54 PM) Now 2-3, AVG up to .320 3-4. AVG up to .324. Can't wait until he gets that promotion to AAA.
  14. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 28, 2010 -> 09:29 PM) Is this Hynick's first start of the year? And my boy Brent is 1-2. Batting AVG to to .315 Now 2-3, AVG up to .320
  15. Is this Hynick's first start of the year? And my boy Brent is 1-2. Batting AVG to to .315
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:41 PM) I hope Thornton does not have memories of what happened a couple years ago. I think Pena was the culprit..... I guess it was Gabe Gross.... http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=280601130
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:42 PM) AJ and Juan are usually right around the league leaders in lowest K%. This should be a shock to no one. It's a shock to me considering how bad AJ is hitting. I realize he doesn't K too much, but with how bad he has looked, I can't believe he is only at 9.
  18. I hope Thornton does not have memories of what happened a couple years ago. I think Pena was the culprit.....
  19. Is anyone as shocked as I am that AJ is "leading the league" in least amount of strikeouts this year? He has only 9 K's in 143 AB......Pierre is 3rd with only 13 K's in 191 AB.
  20. "The more pitches you see, the most dangerous the hitter becomes" - Hawk Harrelson BECKHAM!
  21. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:30 PM) not me - that's a bunt situation if there ever was one Yep. That was the obvious bunting situation in the world.
  22. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:29 PM) I really like how the bunt was off though. I want to see more of that. I don't. Vizquel is hardly the offensive threat. He should at least make his automatic out productive.
  23. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:26 PM) Talk about rocking the boat. Ozzie gives Jenks the vote of confidence on Wednesday and the interim manager goes to Putz in the very next save opportunity. Cora actually enjoys winning.
