  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 01:55 PM) We should thrown Buehrle yesterday. He never does well on extra rest. It's the curse of national attention for Buehrle. Throws a no-hitter in 2007, then sucks. Throws a perfect game in 2009, then sucks. Makes a ridiculous play in 2010, then sucks. If Mark Buehrle is FEATURED as the lead story on Baseball Tonight, then we have a problem.
  2. African-American greek night? That's quite a specific demographic, Brooks.
  3. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 01:49 PM) i think we win this one. calling it now. It's sad that overcoming a 2-run deficit in the 3rd inning is a bold statement.
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 01:45 PM) That's awesome. I'll make sure to note that in my journal. Also note that I have Cuddyer too, so there is another double and RBI for me.
  5. Well, the only positive for this game for me so far is that I have Mauer and Morneau on my fantasy team....
  6. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 01:39 PM) Podsednik has .429 OBP and .817 OPS, only 2 stolen bases You stats are sooo 2 hours ago.
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 01:36 PM) I haven't paid attention. What's he done so far? Hitting .368 with a .455 OBP and 3 SB, 0 CS.
  8. Well, at least we know Alexei can bunt Pierre over to 2nd. Maybe he should be in the #2 hole.
  9. Atta boy Carlos. 2 out double. Now Kong needs to continue the game 1 plan by jacking one out.
  10. I have a friend who hits w/ Jones in the offseason. He told me to watch out for Jones because he has major power, and I guess my buddy is right.
  11. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 12:21 AM) Instead of buying an iPad I decided to buy Apple stock and make money off all the people that actually do buy them, since I really don't have much use/desire for one. So far so good. I'm not an Apple fan or hater, but they know how to make money. Apple likes to keep everything closed and make everyone do things through them, and to control everything. Google on the other hand is the opposite of Apple, they want everything to be open and free, and to Apple this seems like insanity but it's been working wonders for Google so far. Google is too expensive to invest in for most people, though. Also, am I the only one that has a Zune and actually likes it? I have a Zune HD. I love that thing, and so do all my friends who own iPods.
  12. 1:05 start on WGN I don't ever start gamethreads, and the Sox don't ever really win. Seems like a match, so I will give it a go...... ^^^She's a girl, and even SHE knows the Twins suck!
  13. I have had a Dell XPS desktop since 2004, and now my Dell Studio laptop since last July. Had only had 1 problem w/ my desktop when I got the BSOD, but I also used to download a TON of crap on my computer, and most likely it was a virus.
  14. At least we are not the Astros. They have only scored 6 runs ALL YEAR.
  15. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 04:56 PM) Sabathia 5 outs away from a no-no Kelly Shoppach says "This is MY HOUSE!"
  16. QUOTE (G&T @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 03:57 PM) watch this and see if you can figure it out: or maybe you should just look closer into those dino-legs in your pic. Hah, we both looked up the video at the same time I guess.
  17. I am confused as hell. Obviously it is not real, but I thought it was just CGI on TV, was this thing actually an animatronic beast? http://hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/hs513.snc3/2...3_4283506_n.jpg If that was some remote controlled dinosaur, and not just TV special effects, then my mind is blown. That thing looked real as hell! EDIT: I just saw a video online, from this view, it definitely looks like someone is dressed up a costume, because I can see legs. But when I was watching it on comcast, it looked like a ridiculous animatronic thing.
  18. 2010 White Sox starters.... 1-1 record, 31 IP, 26 H, 8 ER, 1 HR, 12 BB, 25 K, 2.32 ERA, 1.22 WHIP
  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 03:16 PM) Our best hitter right now is not Beckham. People need to get over the hype, the guy is good, but hes not a superstar yet and its very likely that he may experience some problems in his sophomore campaign. Teams are already shading him to RF and as pitchers get better scouting reports on him he is going to have to learn to adjust. He has a ton of raw natural talent as a hitter, but he still has a lot to learn about being a professional hitter. I didn't say he was our best hitter right now, but these first 5 games notwithstanding, Beckham is our best hitter. He hits for average, power, gaps, and can handle the bat better than anyone else on this team.
