  1. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Mar 21, 2010 -> 12:43 PM) Morel's upside isn't all that high, in fact I don't really think it's much higher than what Teahen is already doing right now. Maybe Morel can steal a few more bases and play 3B a little better, but when you factor in the learning curve? Hell no. Morel would be giving away AB like there's no tomorrow. At least Teahen is a vet who knows what he's doing. Morel plays a LOT better Defense. And as far as Teahen knowing what he is doing, so far this spring, I would say the opposite is true. You are right, maybe Morel wouldn't do much better offensively, but his defense and fact that he won't be making $3M a year makes me hope that Teahen will be eventually usurped.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 21, 2010 -> 11:02 AM) If this was talk radio, you would have just gotten hung up on. It was mostly tongue-and-cheek. But not totally because I really do want to see Morel come up at some point if Teahen continues to suck.
  3. Just starting watching Breaking Bad. 1 episode down, like 25 more to go. I got a lot of online watching to do.....
  4. Trade/Release Teahen. Sign Crede. When Crede is injured, bring up Morel. Problem solved.
  5. I had only missed 4 in the whole first round. I was dominating, and obviously in 1st place in my league. Then my 2 championship teams (Nova and Kansas) lost. I am officially done watching March Madness.
  6. My bracket took a HUGE fall today with 'Nova and Kansas. The only positive thing is that I have the East region 100% correct. That's pretty good IMO.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 20, 2010 -> 05:03 PM) It is crazy that they are looking at Clayton as their #3 or #4 pitcher. Yeah, I think Hawk said Young, Poreda, Richard, Latos, and the first reliever that came in today. 2 ex-Sox pitchers anchoring the #2 and #3 spots for them. EDIT: Nevermind, it was Correia in the #2 spot, not Richard. However, Jon Garland IS listed as their #4 guy on their depth chart. So that's still 2 ex-Sox players in their rotation.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 20, 2010 -> 04:52 PM) Foul balls count? Yes. It's a baseball.
  9. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Mar 20, 2010 -> 04:35 PM) I'm worried as much about Teahan as I am about thinking Brian Anderson is gonna have a monster year. S-p-r-i-n-g T-r-a-i-n-i-n-g If you are going to spell out Spring Training, then I am going to spell out Mark's last name.... T-E-A-H-E-N
  10. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Mar 20, 2010 -> 04:39 PM) Has Flowers hit one ball hard this spring? Yes. In his AB 10 minutes ago.
  11. Well, Teahen should have 3 errors this inning. Messed up 2 plays down the line, and then lollipoped a feed a Buehrle who would have had the runner easily.
  12. Kenny again mentions how it's great to actually talk baseball, and he has not talked about baseball in a week and a half because all the questions he get are for other things.
  13. Andruw going oppo! Awesome to see, especially after Kenny just said how he loves that Andruw is taking it the opposite way.
  14. I like AJ with a beard. Now he just needs to keep his hair brown.
  15. 0-2 with RISP. I predict we go 2-11 with RISP today.
  16. I am sitting back, relaxing, and strapping it down.
  17. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 04:31 PM) He said in an interview he's not really feeling any pain when he pitches. That's funny because I feel pain when he pitches.
  18. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 04:29 PM) Linebrink says he's been feeling better this spring. Let's see a nice 1-2-3. Better like what? He doesn't feel bad when he implodes on the mound anymore?
  19. AJ is a wizard like Merlin, breaking barriers, tearing down walls like it's Berlin.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 04:11 PM) Haven't followed ST for a week, but is Teahen still hitting in the .100 range? Yes.
