  1. Someone on the MLB roster. I'd bet Robert was asked about plenty, and not as a joke. Eloy probably, Moncada, maybe Madrigal. Indians were looking for MLB level talent.
  2. I assume you have some inside info here. I'd put Moncada + Kopech in a similar category as Vaughn + Kopech, and that got Chris Sale, not a 34 year old with 1 year left on his deal.
  3. I know the Twins are struggling but it seems like they put 10 up against the Sox in every game. I hope they don't have something on us.
  4. I don't know why I kept tuning in to be honest.
  5. I listen to Sox Machine every so often. They're not very engaging hosts and the podcasts seem to drag on.
  6. I have to think the Lynn demands were super high because he didn't move and multiple teams were rumored. You'd figure one of the White Sox, Yankees, Braves, Dodgers, Padres (maybe? I forget) would've been able to meet an acceptable price.
  7. I'm thinking Kopech + Dunning, Stiever or Vaughn. Something with just too much from the top end of our prospects.
  8. I'm shocked Lynn didn't go somewhere. What a waste for Texas. Sounds like Daniels wants to win every big deal outright. Not shocked the Sox didn't make any deals. Asking prices were probably too high - the Padres deal for Clevinger is solid volume we just don't have. I bet Texas was heavy on someone untouchable - Vaughn + Kopech or something similar. Maybe even Robert like that beatwriter tossed out - which if true Daniels is insane.
  9. LOL if anyone is asking for Robert they're completely out of their minds. That said, beyond players already in MLB + Vaughn + Kopech we're pretty light in the upper minors.
  10. I'm still thinking the asks are too high. We don't want to trade, say Vaughn and that's who everyone is asking for and not budging.
  11. I know things are heating up when I get "Too many connections" errors on SoxTalk
  12. I think they stand pat. I think there's a group of players they're comfortable moving (Kopech maybe, Stiever, Dunning maybe, Collins, Adolfo, some minor pieces like Sheets) and everyone with an impact player wants someone they don't want to trade (Vaughn, Cease).
  13. I don't think people understand how improbable the '05 Sox team was.
  14. I still don't think this puts the Padres above the Dodgers this year and it better next year before Clevinger is a free agent (unless they extend him, but how good is their financial situation with the Machado deal and Hosmer taking up a ton of money?)
  15. Padres have a deep system. We don't. They can absorb losing some of these guys. Not sure we can, and I bet that factored into the final offers (along with division rivalry).
  16. NotSteve is full of it. He’s adding too much detail to this now. I’ll be very surprised if something happens close to his claim.
  17. It's been quiet for a bit. I don't think anything is happening tonight. These things seem to happen quick once there's movement and we're delayed now.
  18. I think it means they're definitely out on Clevinger now. Sox still in. Sox also on Woodruff maybe? If the Brewers made Yelich available too (I doubt it but hey what the hell) what would people think? Maybe they want to rebuild and maybe you get him a little cheaper with his struggles this year.
  19. This is what Grandal does. Good player but some frustrating passive at-bats.
  20. I watched a video the other day about how all Soler can hit consistently is fastballs. Colome only throws fastballs and cutters.
