  1. Saladino doesn't look like he has a chance against Hamels.
  2. QUOTE (aryzner @ May 11, 2016 -> 02:09 PM) Farmer and DJ both said he definitely was hit by that pitch. Was he? Hawk said it did too. I have a mediocre quality feed so I couldn't tell.
  3. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 10, 2016 -> 10:00 PM) Avi should kill a softy leftyYou are correct!
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 9, 2016 -> 01:14 PM) MLB Trade Rumors ‏@mlbtraderumors 3h3 hours ago Blue Jays Release Michael Bourn http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/05/blue...hael-bourn.html … Could be a nice left-handed 4th OF option for the Sox.
  5. Weaver is just off the corner on everything. The definition of a junkballer. You could probably get no-hit if the ump had a big strike zone.
  6. Lawrie CRUSHED that. A little higher and it was gone.
  7. It is painful to watch the Sox lunging at 65 mph curveballs and be way late on 80 mph fastballs.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 03:17 PM) A good offense would have tagged him for 5 runs by now.Yeah, he's made a couple good pitches on breaking balls but he's pretty much been all fastball today.
  9. Avila with no chance there on 97 mph. He looks really bad so far this year.
  10. It's so weird to play the Twins and have these situations occur, but then they DON'T score any runs. For so many years, there would've been a bloop double down the line here and it'd be tied. I guess that honor has passed to the Royals.
  11. It looked like it might've ticked the pole a little. Really hard to tell though.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 04:47 PM) Danks gonna give that run back?Yes he will
  13. This is hard to watch. A ton of terrible pitches, then a fastball up in the zone and right down the middle. We can't do anything.
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 10:17 PM) Why throw it that high?I don't think it was supposed to be that high. He's overthrowing.
  15. Chris Sale gets in his own way so much.
  16. It's probably because the ratings are terrible, to be honest. I don't know many Sox fans in Central IL - mostly Cubs and Cardinals.
  17. Anderson is real predictable with his changeup. Lots of really hard hits off it so far. 5-0 Sox after a triple by Sanchez and a bomb of a sac fly (400+ feet) by Lombardozzi.
  18. Eaton ground out, Rollins single, Abreu infield single + throwing error (2nd & 3rd), Cabrera single to score Rollins, Avi Garcia triple to RF to score 2. 3-0 Sox.
  19. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Mar 3, 2016 -> 02:24 PM) The guy in the booth who is not Russ Langhor (Brian Anderson maybe?), thinks Eaton is in CF. Kept commenting on when May and Avi kind of flubbed a play in the OF and even during the replay he thought it was Adam.It's Brian Anderson
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 10, 2016 -> 03:57 PM) There is no surplus value in this deal, unless you want to price Trout at say $40 million per year. At any rate, there are only a few teams that could take on the last few years of that deal without it hurting the rest of their payroll. 2016 24 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim $16,083,000 2017 25 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim $20,083,000 2018 26 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim $34,083,000 2019 27 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim $34,083,000 2020 28 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim $34,085,000 Well, if he stays a 9 WAR player, he'd be "worth" what, $72 million/year? Obviously that's absurd, but I would guess most teams would at least view 2016 and 2017 as a worthwhile investment providing value. Beyond that, he's paid what he's "worth", but it covers his prime years, so you're likely to get good production for your money.
