  1. Starting pitching went 18 innings giving up 2 ER in this series to a team that had won 7 in a row.
  2. Romy loves game-changing doubles
  3. Slider city and Robert A) expects a fastball on the first pitch and is then way early on a hanger, and B) does not adjust and strikes out.
  4. Third time through you'd think you'd get what his offspeed offerings look like but nope! Take a pitch solidly on the outer third for strike three.
  5. Garrett has been mediocre all year, and AWFUL lately, so of course he's untouchable to these "close your eyes and swing as you might just hit it" hitters
  6. If Burger is gonna swing at everything he needs to be out of the lineup once Eloy is back.
  7. Maybe score more than one next time you absolute idiots.
  8. Yankees are not a good offense right now but Lynn just sucks.
  9. I want Moncada to succeed for lots of reasons, but especially so this image is used more often.
  10. Burger is hitting .148/.203/.259 on the road this year. Sheets is at .254/.333/.492 this year on the road.
  11. Moncada doesn't have a motivation problem. He has a back problem. That's why he's missed so much time, that's why he's lost power, that's why he grimaces when swinging, that's why his defense hasn't suffered. Unfortunately, a back problem is way worse than a motivation problem, it's why he'll likely never reach his potential, and it's also why he's stuck here. No one is taking a guy making $20+ million/year with a bad back.
  12. 4 pitches to hit. High slider strikes him out.
  13. Lynn is shaping up to be a DFA candidate... is what I would say, if the Sox had anyone in the minors who could put up less than a 6 ERA
  14. Not a good at-bat from Romy. He should know he's going to get tons of sliders and to lay off anything on the outer third, but he swings at one of them to go 0-1, then one to strike out. Those sliders were pretty well-located, sure, but you have to be aware of how these guys are going to work you. You're not going to get center cut fastballs to start an at-bat very often, and the one he did get in the middle of the at-bat he missed.
