  1. Viciedo 2-2, 2B, walk. Yes, another walk. Enough is enough, Kenny. Take Ozzie's toy away from him.
  2. Viciedo doubled in his first AB tonight. It's time. It's been time. The Sox can get away with splitting lead off time between Rios, Ramirez, and Lillibridge. Pierre has got to go, and we have to get Viciedo's bat in this lineup asap.
  3. High 90's/low 100's in Denver the next few days. May have 50 mph winds on Thursday afternoon.
  4. Tony Pena pitched in his 4th rehab appearance tonight. Like it or not, he might be back.
  5. That Lillibridge AB is killing me. God damn this team.
  6. If it were a Red Sox/Yankees game, it would be on ESPN Classic tomorrow.
  7. They might have to bring up an arm for tomorrow. At least Bruney would be gone. What's the story with Pena? He still alive?
  8. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 12:29 PM) All three interleague series have gone L-W-W. I, for one, would like to see this trend broken tonight on our way to being over .500 on Sunday afternoon. I'll take it now.
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:36 PM) The f***? Really? Wow, this team must have zero chemistry. It was like a few golf claps, and Peavy sitting on the top bench giggling with Morel.
  10. MLB Network showed the Sox dugout on AJ's homer...absolutley dead. Almost no emotion.
  11. If they lose, it's one where you wish they just would have gone 1-2-3 in the 9th, and go get 'em tomorrow. But nooooooooo...
  12. I'd like to know what Quentin's personal issue is. This is professional sports.
  13. QUOTE (aprec32 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:23 PM) I'm calling for a Dunn walk off? Who's with me? I was going to post that before Nix hit the homer.
  14. Baseball made their bed. Nobody is above suspicion. But who the hell knows what goes on behind closed doors? I'm not going to worry about it until somebody fails a test, grows two hat sizes, or hits 50 homers in a season out of nowhere.
  15. All three interleague series have gone L-W-W. I, for one, would like to see this trend broken tonight on our way to being over .500 on Sunday afternoon.
  16. I said "may" be looking at an all-star appearance. If he has two more great starts, and is 11-5 with an ERA around 3.30, then he could be an all-star. The thought that the Diamondbacks have their obligatory all-star in Upton, and nobody else can make it, is a little premature.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 08:05 AM) Justin Upton would like to remind you that the D-Backs have their guaranteed spot on the roster already filled. I would like to remind you the Diamondbacks are in 1st place, the all-star game is in Phoenix, and Hudson has 9 wins. Now, while agree that win totals for starting pitchers has been reduced to almost pointlessness, I'll throw in he has 12 quality starts out of 16 starts.
  18. Half way through interleague play...AL leads 66-60. Not too bad for the NL. AL teams are 37-20 at home with the DH, and 29-40 on the road. AL records: 7-2: Cle 6-3: Sox, NY, TB, LAA 5-4: Bos, Sea, Tex 4-5: Bal, Min, Oak 3-6: Tor, Det 2-7: KC
  19. Hey look, another quality start for Hudson. 3.58 ERA. He may be looking at an all-star appearance.
  20. I kinda see Riggleman's side. Rizzo is tough to deal with, so he's either getting paid for 1.5 years now, or he's starting The Summer of Riggs.
  21. Too soon to give up on this season, but I've been clear that if the Sox don't make the playoffs, Kenny Williams has to resign. Two playoff appearances in 11 years in this market and in this division, isn't good enough. At that point, Rick Hahn should be given the keys, and it would be his decision on whether to keep Ozzie. That is, if Reinsdorf doesn't veto it.
