So if you just want the maximum amount of baseball played before the DS starts, you want the Red Sox or Yankees to lose, and the other three to win; and the Dodgers to win and the Giants to lose.

I just hope there isn’t a possibility everything getting pushed back a day, and we lose the off day between games 4 and 5. Maybe the Sox would benefit in the long run, but I’d rather it not come to that.

I’m rooting for the Orioles, Nationals, Mariners, and Rays. Get the Blue Jays out of the picture. And I want the Giants to clinch today too.

I sure hope so. Early leads for the Red Sox, Yankees, and Giants could make today a dud too. I’m just glad they got here. It’s good for MLB to see it’s better for the game if teams come up short of the playoffs and not just handed a spot if they finish over .500.

Extra baseball Monday if one of the Red Sox or Yankees lose AND one of the Blue Jays or Mariners win…that’s at the very least. NL West- if the Dodgers win and the Giants lose, they play in SF on Monday.
