  1. Hopefully just a blip. I'll want to see real winning and a real effort to win starting next Wednesday, when there's a week left. If they do that, at least they won't be accused of not being ready for the start of the season.
  2. 2 run single for Castro off Ubaldo. 2-0, 1st Jackson getting slapped around by Milwaukee. 4-0, 1st
  3. You can listen to the Brewers game free through brewers.com. Both games at 3:05. vs. Mil: Pierre, LF, Beckham 2B, Dunn 1B, Rios CF, Quentin RF, Pierzynski C, Ramirez SS, Morel 3B, Jackson P vs. Col: Milledge LF, Vizquel SS, Konerko 1B, Teahen 3B, Castro C, De Aza CF, Danks RF, Lillibridge 2B, Pena P
  4. SF: Burriss 2B, Fontenot SS, DeRosa 3B, Rowand CF, Ishikawa LF, Belt 1B, Schierholtz RF, Eldred DH, Whiteside C I'd like to see Buehrle get some quality innings this outing.
  5. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Mar 10, 2011 -> 05:28 PM) Does anybody else find it insulting that the headline for this topic on MLB.com is: "McCann shaken, but relieved Salazar will be OK"? Salazar lost his left eye. Very sad. And I feel sorry for McCann too. Obviously not intentional, but he'll live with that.
  6. 5 innings for Floyd this morning vs the minor league campers. 83 pitches. Mark Gonzales said on the Score that the probable opening day lineup will start tomorrow-also on CSN. Pierre, Beckham, Dunn, Konerko, Rios, Quentin, Pierzynski, Ramirez, Morel
  7. It's a "look at me" thing. He's running down the 3rd base line, 30-40 feet from homeplate. What's the point of taking your helmet off there other than to show off? Just cross homeplate, high five your teammates, and take the f***ing helmet off in the dugout. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 14, 2011 -> 10:57 PM) I don't see how it's a dick move, unless it's just because it's not something you see players do.
  8. I think they're trying their hardest to trade Teahen, but if they can't (and they probably won't), Milledge will win out over Lillibridge. They can see if Lillibridge clears waivers, and maybe they can keep him without being on the 40-man. If somebody takes him, oh well...it's Brent Lillibridge.
  9. Milledge, nice homerun, but keep the helmet on until you cross homeplate. It's a dick move.
  10. Next round of cuts follow today's game. I'm looking at you Escobar, Socolovich, Jones, Cofield, Carter...
  11. Yes, it is on whitesox.com as well.
  12. Floyd is throwing on the side tomorrow, so the rotation is set: Buehrle: 3/16, 3/21, 3/26 (4/1 at Cle) Jackson: 3/17, 3/22, 3/27 (4/2 at Cle) Danks: 3/18, 3/23, 3/28 (4/3 at Cle) Peavy: 3/19, 3/24, 3/29 (4/6 at KC) Floyd: 3/20, 3/25, 3/30 (4/5 at KC) I guess they'll flip Floyd and Peavy, but if they just let Peavy be the 4th starter, it would be fine with me.
  13. 3:05 Sox: De Aza LF, Beckham 2B, Dunn 1B, Rios CF, Pierzynski C, Ramirez SS, Morel 3B, McPherson DH, Miledge RF Pads: Patterson DH, Bartlett SS, Headley 3B, Cantu 1B, Maybin CF, Hunter RF, Baxter LF, Phillips C, Cabrera 2B
  14. 6-1 F Thornton pitched the 9th. Usually closers throw earlier in the game in spring, but I think they're getting him used to the 9th inning. He'll close.
  15. Morel 2-3, .208...keep it up.
  16. B-game deets http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/white-sox/...e-in-b-game-win
  17. Nice outing for Danks. 5 IP, 1 hit, 3 bb, 2 k
  18. Sac fly for Milledge. 2-0, 4th
  19. Infield hit for Morel. They count.
  20. 2:55/670AM- interactive after the 4th inning. Pierre LF, Beckham 2B, Dunn DH, Konerko 1B, Quentin RF, Milledge CF, Vizquel SS, Castro C, Morel 3B, Danks P
  21. Buddy Bell is on with Farmer. Just said Mitchell is going to Winston-Salem.
  22. AJ hit a rocket, and Harrison catches it by his good luck. That would have left a mark.
  23. Rongey mentioned today that he'll be calling a couple of the internet games coming up, instead of Trey Bender. First off, good move. Second, I want on-air corrections of player's names.
