Here's what probably happened. Bernstein read on MLB Trade Rumors that the Sox are "all over the place". He then called or texted (sexted!) somebody he knows at the Sox and confirmed it, and then he passed this off as if he was breaking some news on his own.
I'm not going to pretend that there are no bad guys on the White Sox, but I just wouldn't be able to get past Brett Myers being on this team. I mean, he beat the s*** out of his wife in public.
I'm a proponent of a 156-game schedule, but starting the season on a Friday is a step in the right direction. Whatever it takes to get the World Series done in October.
63 games left. 2 with the Mariners. 7 with Baltimore. 6 with the Indians. 6 with the Royals. And it's arguable that the Tigers will be a good team the rest of the way. We have 14 left with them.

Too bad we can't play bad teams all the time... nice win tonight.
I would hope once he got here, he would just suck it up and try to get a ring. I also think you could throw him out at 1B once a week. Basically what they're doing with Kotsay now.

It would be cool but man...2 months and not wanting to DH? Ugh. I'd much rather have Fielder.
I don't think Stone is really going out on a limb there. I mean, it's Kenny Williams. He's going to do something. Obviously Dunn is the target, and I think there's a good chance he joins the Sox on Sunday. Wouldn't that be cool?
Only a guess at this point, but that doubleheader could be Verlander and Porcello versus Buehrle and Garcia.

Any idea if we'll see Verlander that series?
So the Tigers get rained out, and they have a double dip on Sunday. No off day next week, and they go to Boston and Tampa Bay. Good luck with that, Tigers. Oh and then they have a doubleheader with the Sox after that on August 3rd.
