  1. That's kind of how I feel too. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 09:41 AM) I'm gonna hold on till the deadline tomorrow before making any comments.
  2. Don Cooper is going to have a heart attack while watching this guy walk 6 batters a game.
  3. The more I think about this, I'm calling bulls*** that he's staying with the Sox. They want Dunn, and this is part of it. An NL pitcher with a 5.16 ERA who can't throw strikes? This is not a Kenny move for a pennant race.
  4. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 08:35 AM) Harrell's supposed to go tonight for Charlotte, I imagine if a deal were close he'd be on his way to Chicago. Kinda sucks having to start Lucas Harrell in the middle of a pennant race. Stuff happens. A spot start here and there is going to happen. They're going to need a spot starter on August 7th too, unless Buehrle or Garcia pitch on short rest.
  5. When I said "allowed" I meant having him on the 25-man for a day without Edwin Jackson. Obviously they could call him up and send anyone down.
  6. If this trade happens today, I hope they're allowed to call up Lucas Harrell for a start rather than having Tony Pena go 4 innings and then have the rest of the bullpen do the rest.
  7. The 3-team trade rumor said it would be young pitching going back to Arizona, so maybe this is all part of a Dunn deal. At least I'm hoping so.
  8. I say teach your children that Sox fans don't do the wave.
  9. Wow, just saw the Wallace thing. That's pretty incredible. Drafted in the top 15 in 2008, and he's been traded three times.
  10. Here's what probably happened. Bernstein read on MLB Trade Rumors that the Sox are "all over the place". He then called or texted (sexted!) somebody he knows at the Sox and confirmed it, and then he passed this off as if he was breaking some news on his own.
  11. I'm not going to pretend that there are no bad guys on the White Sox, but I just wouldn't be able to get past Brett Myers being on this team. I mean, he beat the s*** out of his wife in public.
  12. 52 hours. Can't wait until it's over.
  13. I'm a proponent of a 156-game schedule, but starting the season on a Friday is a step in the right direction. Whatever it takes to get the World Series done in October.
  14. I love that the Twins have to be frustrated by this. They can't catch us.
  15. Twins are 10-3 since they lost to the Sox. They never go away.
  16. 63 games left. 2 with the Mariners. 7 with Baltimore. 6 with the Indians. 6 with the Royals. And it's arguable that the Tigers will be a good team the rest of the way. We have 14 left with them. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 09:55 PM) Too bad we can't play bad teams all the time... nice win tonight.
  17. Danks and Floyd have to match Pavano and Liriano. The rest I think we're in good shape.
  18. Pangilinan 2-2, 2 homers for GF.
  19. I would hope once he got here, he would just suck it up and try to get a ring. I also think you could throw him out at 1B once a week. Basically what they're doing with Kotsay now. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 26, 2010 -> 09:01 AM) It would be cool but man...2 months and not wanting to DH? Ugh. I'd much rather have Fielder.
  20. Yes, it would be nice if the Dunn thing happens sooner than Saturday, but I have a feeling Rizzo is going to string that out to the last minute.
  21. I don't think Stone is really going out on a limb there. I mean, it's Kenny Williams. He's going to do something. Obviously Dunn is the target, and I think there's a good chance he joins the Sox on Sunday. Wouldn't that be cool?
  22. Great Falls- Royse http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...casrok_grfrok_1
  23. Nice start for Holmberg. 7 shutout innings. Didn't walk anyone.
  24. Only a guess at this point, but that doubleheader could be Verlander and Porcello versus Buehrle and Garcia. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 23, 2010 -> 09:02 PM) Any idea if we'll see Verlander that series?
