  1. Dice-K's no-hitter broken up with two out in the 8th.
  2. Daisuke Matsuzaka has a no-hitter thru 7 in Philadelphia.
  3. Punk Carlos Gomez hit a 3-run homer for the Brewers when the score was 15-0 Twins. He dropped the bat like the punk that he is, and it made contact with Mauer behind the plate. Expect something to happen tomorrow-it should. The game is on MLB network.
  4. Thornton. If this game goes to extras, I'll be pissed.
  5. Looking ahead at Strasburg's debut probably being on June 4...it looks like if the Nationals hold their rotation, the Sox won't face him. And June 4 makes sense so his first two starts are at home, where they'll get the ticket sales.
  6. Dash have struck out 29 times out of 57 outs.
  7. I didn't even realize Gregory Infante is closing now. Pretty good season for the Dash. I'd like to see Bellamy up in Birmingham soon too. He's got that side arm thing going.
  8. i didn't know Winston-Salem had two games. Short 0-6. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...myrafa_wswafa_2
  9. I don't think there is another organization in baseball that would have stood pat like this with the GM, coaching staff, and players. Greg Walker should be fired...he should have been gone years ago. That championship in 2005 was great, but the blind loyalty it's creating now is hurting this team.
  10. Charlotte http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...chraaa_bufaaa_1 Kannapolis http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...hicafx_kanafx_1
  11. Birmingham-Shirek starting http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...monaax_biraax_1
  12. Doyle debuts at Winston-Salem. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...myrafa_wswafa_1
  13. So now the Twins play their only two games at Fenway this season, right after the Red Sox played the Yankees two of the toughest games of the year. And they play the Brewers more than the Red Sox this season...that's fair.
  14. Charlotte http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...chraaa_bufaaa_1 Birmingham http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...monaax_biraax_1 Winston-Salem http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...myrafa_wswafa_1 Kannapolis Gm 1: http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...hicafx_kanafx_1 Gm 2: http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...hicafx_kanafx_2
  15. Twins go up to Toronto...Morneau hits two homers...Bullpen logs 4 scoreless...they win 8-3. That's what a good team looks like.
  16. Zaleski gave up a first inning grand slam. W-S and Kanny rained out.
  17. Beckham either has to play through it here, or in the minors. He shouldn't be sitting.
  18. Question for JPN--what's Andy Tomberlin's reputation as hitting coach at Birmingham? I'm looking at Gary Ward at Charlotte, and if Walker finally gets the boot, I'm wondering if Tomberlin is in the mix.
  19. No team will take Mark Buehrle this year. If he's traded, he makes $15 mil this year, and $15 mil in 2011 and 2012. The Sox have him at $14 mil this year and 2011, and then he'll probably sign with the Cardinals, for a true hometown discount. Quite frankly, I think by the time 2012 comes around we'll be ok with Mark moving on.
  20. Yeah, there's a bunch of garbage on this team. What they get back in trades doesn't matter. It would be like the trade deadline in 2002 when they traded four or five players for minor league garbage. Just get these guys out and clear payroll room for next year.
  21. I'm not too hard on Teahen, because I don't expect a lot from the guy. But why the hell did Kenny give this guy a 3-year contract? Kenny is always preaching Chicago Tough, and they could have had a free year to evaluate him, and decide if he was worthy of keeping around in 2011. That's a bad move, pure and simple.
