So a guy that played 2/3 of a baseball season that hit .270, 14 homers, 28 doubles, and knocked in 63....and learned a new position at the major league level and did well, was rushed to the majors? Uh, no.
This is just a slump. A slump that a lot of second year players go through (Coghlan). He will get through it, and be fine. I have no doubt about that. Could Beckham be sent down for a short time to get his swing back? Sure, that may be the right thing to do for him. But he should not be sent down for the rest of the year, and he wasn't "rushed".
