  1. Short 3-3. Trayce Thompson has fallen back to earth.
  2. Pawtucket @ Charlotte Hudson Birmingham--Cassel Winston-Salem--Griffith Kannapolis--Bayne
  3. Bad start for Liriano. 6 innings, 10 hits, 5 runs 5-3 O's, top 7
  4. I think that 50 game mark is just being generous. Yeah, I guess they could have hoped to be 26-25 at the end of May, but that's probably not going to happen. They won't be going 14-7 the rest of the month.
  5. 14 K's for Doyle. Too bad he's old for Low-A.
  6. One positive of the rainout--the Twins can't pitch Liriano next Wednesday against the Sox. There was a chance he would have, had he started tonight.
  7. I just want to see Buehrle pitch 7-8 quality innings.
  8. Target Field's first rainout for tonight's game.
  9. I'd definitely fire Walker. And I will admit he might not have anything to do with this. But it doesn't matter. Sometimes you fire a hitting coach just to make a change, and send a message to the team. Beckham--maybe send him to Charlotte for a couple weeks. Let him get some hits, and get his swing back. He's not killing fastballs like he did last year. Maybe a short stint at AAA would be good for him in the long run. On the other hand, this team isn't going anywhere, so maybe just let him work it out here. Ugh, this team is frustrating!
  10. Big Frank will be in the booth with Hawk next weekend in KC.
  11. Brandon Short has the longest hitting streak in professional baseball. 24 games. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...wswafa_frdafa_1
  12. There's something wrong with how I'm set up. I can't put the cursor underneath. It sucks. One of the mods suggested a few things, but nothing has worked. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 6, 2010 -> 02:31 PM) What's with you and the bottom quoting lately.
  13. It was Harry Teinowitz from ESPN 1000. QUOTE (Nokona @ May 6, 2010 -> 02:14 PM) So some journalist got kicked out of the clubhouse the other night? Any ideas who it was?
  14. Calling him dumb while you have "should of" in the same sentence is ironic. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 5, 2010 -> 04:45 PM) His dumb ass should of said this months ago. Would have gotten paid pretty decently with another team by now.
  15. Buncha realistic people. QUOTE (jphat007 @ May 5, 2010 -> 03:00 PM) Buncha Twins lovers up in here. Especially that fathom guy
  16. It wouldn't surprise me if the Sox were 9 or 11 games under .500 at the end of May, and the Twins were 16 games over .500. That would put the Sox around 12-13 games back on June 1. That would seal it. QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2010 -> 02:54 PM) It's crazy to think what the situation could be after next weekend.
  17. Ozzie doesn't make that decision. If Kenny wants Vizquel gone, he will be.
  18. Twins win. 19-9..that's their record. Be afraid.
  19. Rauch gives up a lead off homer to Avila 5-4 Twins in the 9th.
  20. Nobody is denying that some deficits have been overcome in the history of baseball. For the most part, getting buried in the first 30 games of the season just means you're a bad team. If the Sox are going to rebound, now is the time...May and June. They have a very tough schedule in the second half. The Sox have 61 games until the Break. They either have to go 39-22, or the season is probably over, because there is no way they'll be more than 10 games over in the second half.
  21. A couple examples of teams overcoming a deficit doesn't mean much now. What's happening now, pretty much means the Twins are a good team and the Sox are a bad team. Like I said, they need to get red hot right now. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 5, 2010 -> 01:42 PM) On May 20th, 2005, the Indians were a season low 6 games under .500, 17-23, and 12 games back. On May 27th 2005, the Astros were 16-31, 15 games under and 15 games out.
  22. Twins on top 5-2 in the 4th. They will be 10 games over .500 with a win. But Gordon Beckham think it's a good thing the Sox are only 6 games out...now 7, and probably 7.5. This season will be over in a couple weeks, unless the Sox get red hot right now.
  23. 27 games (1/6 of the season) in the books for the Twins, Tigers, and Sox. Let's compare: Twins 18-9 Starting pitchers: 15-7 Quality starts: 16 Quality start record: 14-2 Team ERA: 3.64 RS: 144 RA: 102 Diff: +42 Tigers 16-11 Starting pitchers: 7-8 Quality starts: 11 Quality start record: 6-5 Team ERA: 4.29 RS: 132 RA: 126 Diff: +6 White Sox 11-16 Starting pitchers: 7-11 Quality starts: 12 Quality start record: 7-5 Team ERA: 4.84 RS: 109 RA: 137 Diff: -28 The Twins are dominating this division in every facet of the game. The Tigers are probably lucky to be 16-12 right now. And the Sox are horrible.
  24. If anyone went to the game is reading this, what were people booing about in the 3rd inning? Good fight?
