  1. Indians catching prospect Carlos Santana went 4-5, double and two homers. Lou Marson is not long for that job.
  2. Ouch! That's the chance you take when you're on twitter. He better have thick skin. This isn't KC.
  3. Played for both teams? QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 11:44 PM) What's that have to do with today's Indians/White Sox game?
  4. Nix will probably be in there against Liriano. QUOTE (hawkubes @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 11:32 PM) Im joining the conversation late, but I am gonna be sick to my stomach if Mark Teahen is in the starting lineup tomorrow. The guy's been brutal, and imo he cost us the game tonight
  5. I'm not a fan of Quentin sitting for 30 minutes between his at-bats. He'll go nuts.
  6. It's so obvious that the regular lineup should be: Pierre LF/DH, Beckham 2B, Quentin RF, Konerko 1B, Rios CF, Pierzynski C, Jones DH/LF, Teahen 3B, Ramirez SS Occasional DH for Quentin and Konerko. Spot starts for Kotsay, Nix, Vizquel, and the catcher. Come on, Ozzie. Use your head.
  7. I'm agreeing with all of this JOnes/Rios stuff. Rios should be firmly implanted in CF.
  8. Heyward's swing is a thing of beauty. Double down the rf line.
  9. This would be a bad game to get rained out. They pretty much would have to play a day/nighter on June 4. Good day to turn over the 5th starter to Hudson, but I hope it doesn't come to that.
  10. Actually, Beckham does get some national exposure already. He's been on Scott Van Pelt Show a couple times. He's been on Mike and Mike. Harold Reynolds mentions him whenever he can, and they predicted he would be the 2B of this decade. If the Sox get in the playoffs, and he plays well, then the sky is the limit as far as his fame.
  11. Take a wild guess? I mean really, you don't know who is who?
  12. http://twitpic.com/1doolr That's why they're on radio.
  13. Before long the lineup will be Pierre, Beckham, Quentin, Konerko, Rios, Pierzynski, Jones, Teahen, Ramirez, and we'll all be enjoying it a lot. This Kotsay thing is temporary. He's a once a week starter, pinch hitter, defensive replacement after Nix runs for Konerko.
  14. Here's the interview... http://67.72.16.166/wscr2/2311511.mp3
  15. I wonder if they could do it over, would the Rays take our Beckham with the first pick? Could you imagine Beckham and Longoria in the same infield. Good lord. Anyway I'm glad the Rays, Pirates, Orioles, Royals, Marlins, Giants, and Reds wanted different players. Our gain for the next 15+ years--hopefully.
  16. Anyone booing Teahen already needs to turn in their Sox Card. He's not a star player. He'll never be a star player. And they aren't asking him to be a star player. Just let him be the 8-hole, .270 hitter that he is with 15-20 homers and 60-75 RBI's, and be steady defensive player at 3B. That's what he is. And yes, he's going to strikeout over 100 times. Deal with it.
  17. Soxbadger: I'm aware of the rolling blackout in the 08 playoffs, but my point is that the first and original was in a class by itself. I was at the Game 163 Blackout, and I didn't support the rolling blackout at the time because it was just too special to water it down with it again. As far as "supporting the team" or whatever, of course I love the White Sox otherwise I wouldn't post on a message board about them. I just don't think it works when it's warm out or daytime. If I was going to a playoff game when it's 50 degrees, yes I would wear black. But regular season, warm weather baseball, I don't want people telling me what to wear to a baseball game.
  18. I'm glad it failed, and will probably squash future attempts on opening day. There was one Blackout Game, and that was September 30, 2008. Stop trying to duplicate it because it will never be as good.
  19. Only 49 hours until the next game. 49 HOURS!!
  20. Just a hunch, but I think today is going to be a high scoring game for both teams. Maybe a 8-6 win for the Sox.
  21. I have seen the future, and in 16 hours the Sox will be up 3-0 in the first inning on a 3 -run homer by Alex Rios.
  22. Injins lineup: Cabrera Sizemore Choo Hafner Peralta LaPorta Grudzielanek Marson Brantley Westbrook pitching. Go Burls.
