    Long run? No. Once in a while if he's swinging the bat well? Sure. Truthfully, I don't think Kotsay should start more than 40-50 games. If Andruw Jones plays himself into the starting lineup, he should be in there most games.

    I'll give Brooks Boyer some credit. He said today that if it was up to him, he wouldn't be doing the blackout for opening day. This is all Kenny on his own. It'll look bad for a couple reasons-- day game and short sleeve shirts. It looked better at night and everyone was wearing black jackets and sweatshirts.

    Just making a point that it doesn't matter what the lineup is today. Complain if he does it in the regular season and it doesn't work. My guess is that if Quentin is in the lineup, he'll be batting 3rd. If he gets a day off, and Kotsay is swinging the bat well, he may be there once in a while.

    It depends on how long it takes Castro to get back, but the Sox will probably be facing 3 lefties in Toronto. Lucy may get one there.
