  1. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 8, 2010 -> 03:47 PM) How do you think they should be saying it? The word "put" with an s at the end.
  2. QUOTE (BFirebird @ Mar 8, 2010 -> 03:14 PM) Or Pootz as the PbP guy says. It bugs me that nobody corrects them. Getting the names right should be an important thing in broadcasting.
  3. QUOTE (BFirebird @ Mar 8, 2010 -> 02:57 PM) I am not familiar with this Threets guy. Anyone have a scouting report on him? Left handed.
  4. Buehrle is going to skip a start. Next one in ten days.
  5. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Mar 5, 2010 -> 03:10 PM) Cmon Rios lets get you started right That swing and a miss looks familiar.
  6. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 5, 2010 -> 02:55 PM) Which is why I'm not buying it yet. He's got alot of tweaks to work out on his swing, CF defense, hitting lefties, etc.. Who knows though, the sox might like the hitting coach in AA more as a teacher. I would still like him to start in W-S. He is more raw than Beckham was as a first rounder. Yeah, and he's also two years younger than Beckham, so he has plenty of time to develop. I would have thought High-A for sure.
  7. Mitchell K's. I'm surprised they're supposedly starting him in Birmingham this year. His swing looks a little long.
  8. Melton even says Ramirez wrong. Ra-Mare-Is No, it's Ra-Meer-Ez
  9. Merkin has lineups for Saturday's split squad games. http://twitter.com/scottmerkin
  10. Lineup vs. Dodgers: Mitchell CF, Vizquel SS, Quentin RF, Konerko 1b, Rios DH, Botts LF, Nix 3B, Lillibridge 2b, Lucy C. Buehrle for 2 inn This game is free on whitesox.com...I think.

  12. Farmio needs to learn the player's names. He's brutal. Tie game final.
  13. Blackout lifted for tomorrow's game on the MLB Network. http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/towert...ing-opener.html
  14. Beckham was the highest paid of the 16. $445,000.
  15. I don't think we'll see Beckham, Ramirez, and Pierzynski DHing. Not at all. I'd add Rios and Teahen to that, as well. If they're off the field, it's for a day off. I do think that if Andruw Jones is playing great, we'll see him in the field a lot, and there will be a rotation of DHs with Pierre, Quentin, Jones, and Konerko. I think Kotsay will probably start at 1B once a week, and may start in left field and DH a handful of times.
  16. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 03:42 PM) From Scott Merkin: I always take what Scott Merkin has to say with a grain of salt. He just writes fluff pieces and never gives a concrete opinion.
  17. QUOTE (striker @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 11:41 AM) If you are arguing that he did fix them then tell me how he fixed them. Fill in this blank. Coop fixed Jenks by _______. Cracky!
  18. I'm prepared for that Thursday game to be blacked out by MLB Network even though it's tape delayed.
  19. QUOTE (scenario @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 12:47 PM) Keep in mind that the Score is just as much in the business of making news as it is reporting it. There's a difference between what the hosts talk about and what they report at the top and bottom of each hour. Someone may hear Dan McNeil talk about a trade rumor, and will take that as him "reporting" that the Sox and Padres are in talks, when that's not accurate at all.
  20. Add Justin Upton to the list of young players getting locked up. http://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/statuses/9884571381
  21. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 12:27 PM) Who started for the Dodgers? Eric Stults, I believe.
  22. Tweets coming in on the game. Exciting stuff... http://twitter.com/cst_sox http://twitter.com/MDGonzales
