  1. Buehrle is done. http://twitter.com/cst_sox/status/4477696244
  2. Whisler got dropped from the 40-man too. Outrighted to AAA. The 40-man roster is at 37.
  3. Bartolo Colon got released last week. Too many of these players on this list are in the "it depends" category.
  4. I don't think Buehrle will get traded. He's still a productive starter and I think his contract would make a new team take 2 yrs/$30 mil. If I had one surprise traded player, I'd go with Alexei Ramirez.
  5. Liked Modern Family. Didn't like Cougar Town.
  6. I think Buehrle will get one last start. Floyd is done...probably.
  7. QUOTE (longshot7 @ Sep 20, 2009 -> 06:00 AM) what inning was that - I have to find it on my tivo! It was at exactly 8pm. 2 hours in.
  8. 1-4, who cares what order they go in... Buehrle should start opening day for tradition's sake. But after that, it should be 1-2-3-4, and skip the 5th whenever you can. The problem with the Sox is that they don't skip the 5th starter enough. Next year, I want the top four to start at least 33 games.
  9. I think it's safe to say we've seen the last of Buehrle and Floyd this year.
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 18, 2009 -> 12:35 PM) JD has pretty much established himself as a White Sox great. I wouldn't go that far. But yeah, Dye will be remembered as the World Series MVP. When I think "White Sox great", I tend to think those players get their numbers retired. Obviously that won't happen for Dye.
  11. Buehrle is going to get one more start to get to 200 innings. Then he's done. Hudson and Torres will probably get a couple starts. This thing is winding down. Hopefully the Tigers win in the dome this weekend so there isn't too much pressure to play spoiler to help the Twins. I'd rather see the Tigers win the division.
  12. I never like the idea of three lefties in the rotation. Garcia is an adequate 5th starter and has a good price tag. If he fails, Hudson will be there. So, no, I don't want Bedard.
  13. ^ I agree. Bring on the Pirates every year. Overall, I think the schedule next year looks pretty fair.
  14. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...81&sid=t581 Minor league season coming to an end for the Sox organization.
  15. Birmingham lost 12-2. Season over. Playoff records: Birmingham 0-3 Winston-Salem 0-3 Kannapolis 0-2 Good times. Great Falls is out too if they lose tonight.
  16. Great Falls loses. If they lose and B'ham loses tomorrow, the Sox organization can get skunked in the playoffs.
  17. This is going to be hilarious if it ends in a 3-way tie at 83-79, and we have to play at the Metrodome. That would be classic.
  18. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 09:35 PM) how lucky is detroit - 4 games vs. toronto and they don't face halladay. They get Greinke Thursday. We miss him next weekend. Looks like we'll get Hochevar, Davies, and Chen.
  19. ...and you know what? I still don't miss Thome.
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 09:19 PM) 5.5 Yes, the Twins are 5.5 out.
  21. It's not like there's two months left in the season to hope for a comeback. There's only three weeks, so jump back on board and go down with the ship. This could end up being good.
  22. Barons face elimnation. 1-0 on a Retherford homer, 1st inning.
  23. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 11, 2009 -> 09:57 PM) B'ham's on life support. They're capable of reeling off three in a row, but they probably won't. Still a good team, but the first half team was the bomb.
  24. Bang up job by the whole organization.
