  1. 7-2 Barons, top 7. Rain delay. Poreda: 6 innings, 5 hits, 2 runs, 3 BB, 5 K
  2. GORDO!! 3-4, double, homer, 2 runs, 5 RBIS Viciedo 4-4
  3. RBI single for Beckham. 3-2
  4. Tennessee tied up Birmingham. Poreda not real sharp so far. Would have pitched out of it in the first if Retherford would have turned a routine DP. Lost the handle transferring from his glove. 2-2
  5. Single for Danks, double for Beckham. 1-0
  6. Birmingham with the A lineup facing a lefty with a 1.91 ERA. Should be a good matchup.

  8. Lillibridge walked with the bases loaded to win 2-1. Way to get that game winning RBI. Could have used you today.
  9. Beckham 2-4, double, RBI Danks 1-3, BB
  10. Seeing some of these pitchers we have, kinda makes you wonder who the other two that were on their way to San Diego.
  11. Sauer's control must be outstanding. I see Lillibridge is tearing it up at Charlotte. (yes, I'm kidding)
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ May 23, 2009 -> 05:22 PM) Might be a good night for pitching. I did say "might". Rough at every level tonight. Jordan Danks 2-4. Now at .370.
  13. Might be a good night for pitching.
  14. What if the Twins take Mitchell at 22? That would suck if that's who the Sox were going to take. I just hope it's a pitcher, catcher, or top of the order CF.
  15. One error at 3B in 40 games. I don't care what level he's playing, that's impressive.
  16. Danks 3-4, RBI in game two. Batting .360 despite the high K rate.
  17. Whisler roughed up bad for the first time this year.
  18. Definitely interesting Beckham is bouncing around the infield the last couple games, but I'm not going to read anything into it unless it keeps happening in the next few weeks. As far as I can tell, Gordon was only involved in one play on defense, and started a 5-4-3 DP.
  19. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 22, 2009 -> 09:00 AM) Hating Peavy is just ridiculous. Agreed. Can you really blame the Sox for not picking up that $22 mill option? Can you really blame Peavy for asking for it here in May? He has time on his side. As long as Peavy isn't pitching for the Cubs in the next month, I'm not going to hold any hard feelings toward Peavy. Who knows--he may not find a better deal with anyone else, and he could still end up with the Sox.
  20. 3 hits for Gordon. Jon Gilmore 2-3 tonight. He's on fire. 14 hits in his last 22 AB's.

  22. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 21, 2009 -> 09:03 AM) Someone close to Peavy dismissing the trade, per the score Bleh All they said was SI's Jon Heyman talked to Peavy's people and they said Peavy preferred the NL Central--probably the Cubs or Brewers. Ok, we already knew this. Now the question is, will Peavy have a change of heart. He knows he's getting traded in the next two months. HOw does he know the Padres will get a package of players good enough from one of those teams? He doesn't. So maybe Peavy rethinks this and comes to the White Sox. It could still happen.
  23. Cool videos. Thanks for posting. I like that they wear their uniforms like, you know, a uniform.
  24. Birmingham loses 3-0. Team is in an offensive slump. That won't last.
  25. W-S wins. Charles Shirek moves to 7-0, 3.23 ERA
