  1. Seeing some of these pitchers we have, kinda makes you wonder who the other two that were on their way to San Diego.
  2. Sauer's control must be outstanding. I see Lillibridge is tearing it up at Charlotte. (yes, I'm kidding)
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ May 23, 2009 -> 05:22 PM) Might be a good night for pitching. I did say "might". Rough at every level tonight. Jordan Danks 2-4. Now at .370.
  4. Might be a good night for pitching.
  5. What if the Twins take Mitchell at 22? That would suck if that's who the Sox were going to take. I just hope it's a pitcher, catcher, or top of the order CF.
  6. One error at 3B in 40 games. I don't care what level he's playing, that's impressive.
  7. Danks 3-4, RBI in game two. Batting .360 despite the high K rate.
  8. Whisler roughed up bad for the first time this year.
  9. Definitely interesting Beckham is bouncing around the infield the last couple games, but I'm not going to read anything into it unless it keeps happening in the next few weeks. As far as I can tell, Gordon was only involved in one play on defense, and started a 5-4-3 DP.
  10. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 22, 2009 -> 09:00 AM) Hating Peavy is just ridiculous. Agreed. Can you really blame the Sox for not picking up that $22 mill option? Can you really blame Peavy for asking for it here in May? He has time on his side. As long as Peavy isn't pitching for the Cubs in the next month, I'm not going to hold any hard feelings toward Peavy. Who knows--he may not find a better deal with anyone else, and he could still end up with the Sox.
  11. 3 hits for Gordon. Jon Gilmore 2-3 tonight. He's on fire. 14 hits in his last 22 AB's.

  13. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 21, 2009 -> 09:03 AM) Someone close to Peavy dismissing the trade, per the score Bleh All they said was SI's Jon Heyman talked to Peavy's people and they said Peavy preferred the NL Central--probably the Cubs or Brewers. Ok, we already knew this. Now the question is, will Peavy have a change of heart. He knows he's getting traded in the next two months. HOw does he know the Padres will get a package of players good enough from one of those teams? He doesn't. So maybe Peavy rethinks this and comes to the White Sox. It could still happen.
  14. Cool videos. Thanks for posting. I like that they wear their uniforms like, you know, a uniform.
  15. Birmingham loses 3-0. Team is in an offensive slump. That won't last.
  16. W-S wins. Charles Shirek moves to 7-0, 3.23 ERA
  17. Jhonny Nunez's 8th inning: gave up a hit, walked one, threw a wild pitch, allowed two steals...and nobody scored. 3-0 West Tenn going to the 9th.
  18. Poreda is probably done. 7 innings, 3 hits, 3 runs, 2 er, 2 bb, 12 k's ERA- 2.53
  19. Gilmore with another hit. 3-4 today. 12-23 last five games. From .167 to .226.
  20. That's 12 in 6 innings for Poreda. Viciedo with an error that cost a run. 3-0, top 7.
  21. Gilmore 2-3 today. It's been a good 5 game stretch for him. Beckham is struggling. Pop out, sac bunt, strike out. Down to .274. I still think he'll go off one of these weeks like he did the first week of the season, but it's been a tough go the last few weeks with the slump and injury. Hopefully he's not still feeling that abdominal injury.
  22. Leesman gave up 6 hits and walked 5 in 5.2 innings. Must have pitched out of some jams giving up only one run.
  23. Beckham 1-12 since his return. He's at .279. Viciedo is at .265. Viciedo drew a walk on a 10-pitch AB. Noteworthy.
  24. Jon Gilmore 9-15 his last four games. Up to .211. Good considering where he was.
  25. Charlotte wins 2-0. Cassel with 5 shutout innings, Derek Rodriguez went 2, Russell and Link finished it off.
